Man Coverage

• Pressure will come off the left edge.
• This setup is great for the Texans defense, as pressure will force a roll-out towards DE J.J. Watt.

Zone Coverage

• The double buzz by the safeties is unique, and most opponents won’t expect both safeties playing hook zones.
• In our example FS Ed Reed is able to go up for the ballhawk interception.

Man Blitz

• Drop into coverage with the MLB, but leave him on his blitz assignment.
• Watch out for routes over the middle and HB screens.

Zone Blitz

• Sit directly over the middle of the field, and if there are no routes over the middle of the field drop over the deep middle.
• Opposing offenses will likely make you defend a TE streak and have an underneath crossing pattern to beat this defense.
