Singleback Deuce (1 HB, 2 TE, 2 WR)
Run Left
Hillman has great acceleration, so make sure to use it.
Run Middle
Cover up when running between the tackles.
Run Right
Hillman has just enough speed to get to the edge.
Recommended Offensive Pass Formation:
Shotgun Doubles On (1 HB, 1 TE, 3 WR)
Base Play
- The HB releases if your opponent doesn’t send pressure, and he will be open against both man and zone coverage.
- Look to the TE streak and the slot streak against zone.
Man Beater
- The post corner route crushes man-to-man coverage, as does the out-n-up route.
- The underneath drag will be open with a high lead pass, and look to the HB against slower LBs.
Zone Beater
- Against Cover 2 and Cover 3 zones look to the receivers running the corner routes.
- Against Cover 4 zones look to the smoke screen for an easy 5-yard gain.
Blitz Beater
- Wait for the HB to cut upfield and then throw a sideline lead pass.
- The underneath drag is a nice option for over-committed user defenders.
