Nickel Wide 9
Man Coverage
- When you reblitz a defensive end in the Nickel Wide 9 it creates a unique rush angle.
- This pass rush allows our defenders to get after the QB quicker.
Zone Coverage
- Man aligning twice will rebalance the hook zones across the field evenly.
- This will leave the flat open but blanket the middle of the field as well as anything deep.
Man Blitz
- Pressure will come off the left edge.
- Use press coverage to slow down your opponent’s read at the snap of the ball.
Zone Blitz
- User-control the FS over the middle of the field. If your opponent blocks an extra player the blitz won’t get in.
- Place both hook zone defenders in flats to fool your opponent into thinking the flat is open.
