Ancient Coins are not the only things to seek while on vacation. Relics are special treasures to buy or find and then bring home as interesting souvenirs to show off.

Find relics in rubble piles, inside treasure chests, and even just lying around inside tombs. For the less adventurous, relics can also be purchased at merchants.

Relics can also be sold for profit, just like the collectibles back in your home town. In fact, this is a great way to make Simoleons while on vacation. Some relics are worth as little as 100 Simoleons.

Some are worth as many as 4,000 Simoleons. You can see how a vacation might pay for itself (and then some) with a lucky find.

But perhaps you would rather keep these relics for yourself? After all, relics are extremely attractive and go a long way toward sprucing up a lot back home in Sunset Valley or Riverview.

Placing relics in your house adds to the environmental rating of the room, which can result in a moodlet boost just for walking though it, such as Nicely Decorated.

Each relic belongs to a collection, too. There are nine collections:

Canopic Jars

Gold Figurines

Zodiac Animals

Chinese Vases

Dangerous Creatures

Dropa Stones

Egyptian Tomb

Chinese Tomb

French Tomb

When you complete a collection, just being around it gives you a nice moodlet boost called Wondrous Collection. Depending on the collection, you get a different moodlet boost. Here are the moodlets associated with each collection:

Much like Ancient Coins, you will not find the same relics in the same places with each tomb visit. (The maps for each tomb in the individual location sections show what kinds of relics to expect in certain locations.)
