All three destinations in World Adventures have collectibles, just like Sunset Valley and Riverview. However, in addition to the original collectibles, there are all-new ones to pocket.
Each destination has maps for the collectibles that pinpoint where you can find the goodies, such as butterflies and gems.
Collectibles are a great way to earn extra Simoleons on the side and decorate your home.
There are many adventures, too, that task you with finding collectibles—fortunately, though, the local offering the adventure is kind enough to mark the required collectibles on map view.
Butterflies
Butterflies flit about each new destination, just as they do back home. There are new butterflies for each destination.
As before, butterflies can be kept in your house in a terrarium or sold to the science facility in your hometown for extra Simoleons.
The number of Ancient Coins in piles are also random, although some piles are absolute jackpots. If it’s tough to get at, chances are good the payout is big.

That might not be a rock you just stepped over. Look closer. Is there a little color poking out of the dull stone? Then that’s a gem. There are several new gems in World Adventures located at each new destination.

When you find a gem on the ground, it is in rough form. You can increase its value by having it cut. Gem cuts cost Simoleons. You unlock additional cuts as you send more and more gems off.
There are brand-new cuts in World Adventures that look quite nice. Here is a chart of the cuts, including the cost of each cut and how much the cut multiplies the value of the gem:

The Split cut is only available on Geodes and Septarian Nodules.
The Tiberium cut is only available on Tiberium gems.
To get the Skull cut, you need to follow a similar system to creating a Soulpeace Gem. First, buy a large display. Then, place the exact same type of gem in all open slots on the display.
All of these gems must have different cuts. Once you have the collection assembled, click on the display and choose “Activate.” This turns the gems into one large Skull cut gem.
Metals
When you travel the world, you find new things. The new destinations have unique ores that cannot be mined anywhere else.

Meteorites
Space rocks crash to the ground all over the world—not just in Sunset Valley or Riverview. Meteorites comes in three sizes. The larger the rock, the more valuable it is. However, size isn’t the only factor. Analyze meteorites to find out exactly what they are.
Now, there are some risk to this. The raw value of a meteorite may actually be more than its analyzed value. Once analyzed, you cannot undo the process either.
So, are you a betting person? Is that huge meteorite a Kamasite, thus improving the value? Or is it really an Ordinary Chondrite, thus halving the value?

Dig Sites
While off on your adventures, you explore dangerous tombs full of loot and treasure. But you can find relics half-buried on the surface, too. Each destination has many dig sites.
When you locate a dig site (you see what looks like some debris poking out of the ground), click on it and choose Excavate. Your Sim will bend down and pull the relic out of the ground after a few moments.
Each destination chapter has dig site maps that show where you are likely to find low-quality relics worth very little, mid-range relics that are worth your while, and high-value relics.
You may even find a relic that fits into one of the Relic Collections. There are also sites with relic shards. Relic shards can be assembled into full relics if you collect enough of them.
