Abandoned Barn
The Abandoned Barn looks quite ordinary, but it is the entry to a small hidden temple below the earth.
Base Camp
When you first arrive in China, your initial stop is the base camp. The Adventure Board in front of the base camp gets you started on your very first adventure—stop there right away and see what’s being offered to curious Sims.
Base camp also offers all of the amenities your Sim needs for basic needs, such as beds, showers, and a kitchen. Use base camp at any time—but be polite and clean up after yourself before you leave!
Dragon’s Maw
Carved in stone above the Forbidden City, the eyes of an ancient dragon watch over the people of Shang Simla. The Dragon’s Maw is the entrance to a tomb of the same name, which your Sim must explore as part of the adventures offered in China.
It is not a place for the weak-hearted. Many traps await those who dare slip through the dragon’s teeth and explore its dark belly.
Halls of the Lost Army
The Halls of the Lost Army is a temple in the middle of the Forbidden City. Just below the hall is a tomb where visitors to China can get their feet wet, exploring their very first tomb at the destination.
It’s not the toughest tomb your Sim will encounter, but woe unto those who take trips to the underworld lightly.
Land of the Ancestors
Nestled in the mountains above the Forbidden City is the Land of the Ancestors, the ancient burial ground of Shang Simla.
This graveyard is a quiet place to visit...during the day. Is your Sim brave enough to pay their respects to the ancestors after the sun has set?
Explore the catacombs below the burial ground, just like the cemetery back in your home town.
Scholar’s Garden
The peaceful Scholar’s Garden is a relaxing respite in a destination that is already stunningly peaceful. Sims walk among the manicured plants and breathe deep the outdoor air.
Sims with a developed Logic skill may use the telescope to search the heavens or practice their mental fortitude at the outdoor chess table.
Inside the small structure on the garden grounds, Sims may relax in posh chairs and read a selection from the bookshelves.
Name heavenly bodies over China by searching the galaxy through the telescope.
Temple of Heaven
The Temple of Heaven jabs its finger into the sky, pointing to the gods above that have shown such great fortune to Shang Simla.
Rumor has it that somewhere below the Temple of Heaven, though, is a magical artifact with the power to shatter that which the gods created: stone.
If your Sim wants to break through the giant boulders that block many paths in tombs, they must prove themselves worthy to enough locals to earn the right to attempt the Pangu’s Axe adventure.
Pangu’s Axe is located in the Temple of Heaven—it is the only place you will find this treasure and only as part of the “Pangu’s Axe” adventure.
Pangu’s Axe lets you smash through giant boulders in other tombs. Go back to previously explored tombs with that magical axe and open new areas with great treasures.
Terracotta Army
It is said that the emperors of old would need a great army to escort them into the underworld. And so vast platoons of terracotta soldiers were fashioned from ancient clay and erected on the site where the emperor’s physical body was buried.
The Terracotta Army is a breathtaking sight to behold, but below the clay hooves of the horses that shall fight for the emperor in the afterlife is the Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Does your Sim dare set foot on such hallowed ground?
Camp Sites
We’ve all been there. You’re halfway done with an adventure but the Sleepy moodlet is about to turn red. You don’t want to spend a bunch of time hoofing it back to base camp.
Traveling Sims are always welcome to take a snooze or use the bathroom facilities at any of China’s camps.
