The Resistance Base hub is where the story begins and ends. It also serves as the main hub for the game. While it does not have nearly as many collectibles as the other three hubs, the Resistance Base has several vital features available only at this location.
Medical Bunker
Decarbonizer Device
The Medical Bunker contains two important consoles. First, you can find the decarbonizer device here. As you explore the four hub planets, you can find characters frozen in carbonite. Once a character is found, return to the Medical Bunker and use the device to remove them from carbonite. You can then select these characters during Free Play and for use at the hub planets.
The second feature here is the custom character creator. One of the cool features of LEGO games is to make your own characters. Not only can you customize their looks, but also their abilities. You can have up to three saved characters at one time. They can be used at the hubs, as well as during Free Play.
Creating a Custom Character
Let’s take a look at how to make a custom character. First select a character from the three slots you want to customize. Now there are nine different character aspects that can be modified.
Faction
You can choose from three different factions: Light, Neutral, or Dark. Light gives the character Resistance access while Dark gives the character First Order access.
Size
Here you can choose between Minifig and Smallfig. Smallfigs can use small access hatches and also have toxic resistance.
Class
Depending on your Faction and Size, you can choose from two to six different classes. Cycle through them all to see which abilities the classes give your character. Your class can also affect the weapons your character can carry.
Head
There are 118 different heads from which you can choose. These heads also include a hat or hair as well as shape of the head.
Face
There are 84 different faces. However, if you choose a non-human head, you cannot change the face.
Body
Select from 144 different bodies.
Legs
There are 119 different legs you can use to customize your Minifig characters. Smallfig characters’ legs are selected as a part of the body.
Ranged
Here you can decide if your character will have a ranged weapon, as well as which type. Some of these weapons have special abilities, such as melting ice or destroying gold or silver objects.
Melee
Do you want your character to have a melee weapon? If you select none, he or she can still fight with their fists. There are a variety of weapons here. If you want to select a lightsaber, you must be sure that your character is of a class with the Force ability.
New Star Wars Adventures
As you play through the story levels and earn Gold Bricks, you unlock access to four different groups of levels which take place before Star Wars: The Force Awakens. There are four Level Select terminals for these levels. Once you unlock a terminal, a mini starship appears on the terminal.
| Prologue Levels | Gold Bricks to Unlock |
|---|---|
| Battle of Endor | 10 |
| Poe to the Rescue | 25 |
| Rathtar Hunting | 75 |
| Ottegan Assault | 125 |
Starkiller Battle Arena
Once you complete the entire story of the game, including the Epilogue, the Starkiller Battle Arena is unlocked. See the Starkiller Battle Arena chapter for more information on playing in this area. The access terminal for the arena is located in the Resistance Base hub just to the right of the Prologue Level Select terminal. You can’t miss the mini Starkiller at this terminal.
