BB-8, Rey (Takodana)
Explore the Basement
The basement is dark. The low light causes Rey to move at a cautious pace. Everything in the basement is junk already, so swing wildly and collect as many studs as you can.
Where the hallway reaches a dead-end 10, look for a target around the corner. Break targets until you have enough bricks to build a rotary control. BB-8 must raise a nearby gate enough for Rey to slide under it. He must remain in place for the gate to stay raised.
The initial use for the Multi-Build bricks on the other side of the gate is to repair the mechanism responsible for raising the gate. Choose the build option under the light, then turn the valve wheel to raise the gate.
Reassemble the Multi-Build bricks into an astromech access. After BB-8 completes the matching puzzle, a vine-covered section of the wall opens. Descend the stairs and get ready for a fight against barely functional droids. They come in two waves but are not a real threat.
Turn the Statues
Move ahead to the door covered by a chain 11. Assemble a spinner switch between the two large statues in front of the door. To open the door, both statues must face away from it.
Step on the green pad in front of either statue to change the light at the base of the statue to red. Step on the pad again to revert it to green. Statues with a green light perform a quarter turn each time Rey uses the spinner switch.
Use the winch until one of the statues faces away from the door. Step on the button in front of that statue (leave the other one green). Continue to turn the second statue until it’s facing away from the door.
Tag to BB-8 and charge the power jack above the door to open it. Follow the hallway past a partially-obscured door made of silver LEGO bricks to enter the final room of the basement 12.
Restore Two Gears: Gear 1
The game provides a quick overview of the area and its many gears. You must uncover and replace two gears near the door. Clean up the junk in the area, which leaves you with two piles of bricks.
One pile becomes a rotary control. The other is Multi-Build bricks. The rotary control controls the motion of all the gears throughout the room. Leave BB-8 in it after it’s built 13.
The Multi-Build bricks become a trampoline (of sorts) when directed against the wall to the right. Bounce Rey off it to reach a twirl pole above. Switch to BB-8 and change the positions of the gears to raise the twirl pole, which then allows Rey to swing to the next twirl pole and land near a climb wall 14.
Kick over the ladder on the corner of the roof. Climb to the top of the wall, then use the bottoms of the platforms to move to the other side of the room. When necessary, tag back to BB-8 and reposition the platforms by rolling around in the interface.
Jump from the last platform to the roof 15. Kick over a second ladder, then ascend the climb wall. If Rey falls from the climb wall, tag to BB-8 and lower it to where she can reach it. Switch back to BB-8 to raise it again while Rey clings to it.
Follow the climb wall to a set of handles 16. Watch closely for the button prompts to appear. Hit the button as quickly as you can when it appears. Walk across the narrow ledge and jump off near the tall light source.
Knock down the rope ladder. Attack the light 17and rebuild it into a spinner switch, which opens a door below. Take out the decrepit droids and claim the gear.
Restore Two Gears: Gear 2
Place the gear in one of the spots near the door. Take down the trampoline and direct the Multi-Build bricks to the left, where they become a spinner switch 18. Turn the winch to open the nearby door and pick up the second gear.
Place the gear in the other slot near the door. Knock down the spinner switch. Assemble the Multi-Build bricks above the door. Tag to BB-8, then move the gears to open the door. Go through the door to complete the chapter.
