Many consider heroism to be it’s own reward, but few would say “no” to tremendous wealth and fame! Let’s explore the worthy spoils that you’ll want to secure as you enjoy your time in LEGO Batman 3.
Studs
Studs are the only form of currency in LEGO Batman 3. You spend lots of studs to purchase new characters, so it’s a good thing that the galaxy is packed with them. Many studs are just lying around, waiting to be collected, and you can discover many more by smashing stuff. Studs come in four colors, each with a different value:
> Silver studs are worth 10 studs.
> Gold studs are worth 100 studs.
> Blue studs are worth 1,000 studs.
> Purple Studs are worth 10,000 studs.
Minikits
Minikits are glowing, canister-like objects with a bat symbol on them. Clearly, they’re worth collecting! Every level has ten Minikits for you to find, but most aren’t easy to spot. Many Minikits require special abilities to acquire, and can only be claimed during Free Play.
Tokens
Tokens come in two flavors: Suit Tokens and Character Tokens.

We’ve touched upon Suit Tokens already; they unlock new gadget suits for heroes to wear. You can’t beat the game without collecting all of the Suit Tokens, so you’ll find these naturally as you progress.
On the other hand, Character Tokens are totally optional collectibles. Every level features three Character Tokens, and there are many more to discover in the hubs. Collecting a Character Token unlocks the associated character and makes that character available for purchase in the hubs. Spend studs in the hubs to purchase the character, and you are ready to use that character in Free Play!
Gold Bricks
Gold bricks are important collectibles that can be obtained in many different ways. There are 250 Gold Bricks to acquire in the game, so you’ve got your work cut out for you! Five Gold Bricks can be earned from every level by completing the following tasks (you earn one Gold Brick for accomplishing each of these feats):
> Beat a level in Story Mode.
> Collect all ten Minikits in a level.
> Collect all of the Tokens in a level (Suit Tokens and Character Tokens).
> Fill a level’s True Hero meter by collecting lots of studs.
> Rescue Adam West, who has stumbled into peril in every level!
Red Bricks
Red Bricks are ultra-rare collectibles. There are only 20 of them in the game (16 in Story missions and four available from the start), and each one lets you activate a special power. From collectible detectors to stud multipliers, Red Bricks can make the life of a super hero much easier. You find one Red Brick in every level, but only Plastic Man can help you obtain them. Check the walkthrough to track them all down!
