During the this scene Batman flips the Joker Truck, trapping the Clown Prince of Crime beneath its fiery bulk. The scene now switches to Batman and Commissioner Gordon, who are working together to save The Joker so that he may be brought to justice. Begin by smashing the glowing yellow objects in the background and building their bricks into a crane.
Mime goons bound up from the nearby sewer after you build the crane. Beat them up and then build the sewer lid’s remains into an orange hook that attaches to the front of The Joker’s overturned truck. Grapple and pull the hook to rip apart the truck’s front end, then build the loose bricks to add more parts to the crane.
Into the Alley
Your crane is taking shape, but more parts are needed before it will work. Beat up the goons that storm you from the background alley, then enter the alley and build the hopping bricks beneath the overhead fire escape ladder into a hand hold. Jump up and grab the hand hold to lower the ladder, then jump onto the ladder and climb up.
Completing the Crane
Make a long glide from the top of the fire escape ladder, aiming to reach the blue and white striped awning on the right. Just hold the Jump button to make Batman glide through the air. When you land, you’ll discover that the awning is bouncy! Bounce up to the balcony above you and hack the techno panel up there to open the shutter doors below. (The Dark Knight Trilogy version of Batman can hack techno panels.)
After hacking the techno panel, drop to the street and smash the crates that have tumbled out from behind the shutters. Build the bricks that you discover to complete the crane. Now you can rescue The Joker!
Joke’s Over
Pilot the crane and hold the indicated button to drive over to The Joker’s truck. When you arrive, you’ll automatically use the crane to hoist up the truck and save The Joker’s life. Well done, hero! The Clown Prince of Crime will now face Gotham’s good justice.
