Area A
This area has four cakes. Unlike the previous areas, the cakes are out in the open and not protected by spells. You can just walk up and grab them. However, it is not as easy as it sounds. There are lots of enemies that stand in your way. After grabbing the first cake near the entrance, you have to move along a narrow pathway with Bear Catapults firing at you from both sides. Rush across and head to the left to attack the Catapults on that side and get the second cake. You also have to fight off a Mahogany Bear.
The first cake is the easiest. Grab it right after you enter this area.
The other two cakes are on the other side. Fight off some more Catapults and other bears and then pick up the two cakes to open the magical barrier.
Once you get across the narrow pathway and defeat the Bear Catapults, this area is not that tough. Just clear out the enemies and get some cakes.
Area B
This area is one of the toughest you have faced yet. The cakes are linked to four pressure plates that require you to find three rocks and place them on the plates to break the protective spells. This area is also quite small. As soon as you enter this area, be ready to fight. Bear Catapults begin launching projectiles at you. Focus on defeating the Catapults first, then move on to the Oak Bears. Don’t try to even go after the rocks until the area is clear of enemies. Then place the rocks on the three pressure plates while you stand on the fourth so you can get the cake.
Clear out the enemies around the first cake or they will make short work of your character and sidekick.
As you are carrying rocks back to the pressure plates, be careful not to fall into the blue areas that look like water. They are not ponds—your character will fall all the way through and be defeated.
As you get the first cake, a magical barrier that divides this area lowers so you can advance. Once again, you need to defeat some enemies. However, this time there are only a couple Bear Catapults and Pine Bears. Clear them out. There is only one rock here, so you will need to bring a couple from the first set of pressure plates in order to break the spell and get the second cake.
The second part of this area is easier. There are fewer enemies to defeat.
