The challenges in this forest are tougher than the previous ones. Be sure to bring a character with some built-up skills.
Area A
The first cake in this area is linked to some Pine Bears located inside a block wall. Break through the blocks and defeat the bears in order to claim the cake. This one is easy, but the rest will be tougher to get.
You have to break through the wall to get to the bears and the cake.
The second cake is linked to a cauldron that must be destroyed. However, as long as the cauldron exists, enemies will spawn in. Therefore, you have to divide your time between attacking the cauldron and defeating the enemies that attack you. Attacks that can affect more than one target are great for this type of situation.
Destroy the cauldron to get to the cake and stop enemies from spawning.
The third cake is located in a walled-off area. Part of the walls are made of blocks and destructible. However, select a character with a ranged projectile attack. Jump up onto the green part of the wall and fire down at the cauldron. The Pine Bears that spawn can’t get to you, so keep firing until the cauldron is destroyed. Then jump down and grab the cake.
Don’t want to get into a fight with bears? Stand atop the wall and shoot at the cauldron.
Area B
This area also has cakes linked to enemies. However, you will have to do some climbing on castle walls here. The first cake is at the top of a wall and linked to four Pine Bears. They usually come down to you, so defeat them down below and then climb the wall to get the cake.
The cake is at the top of the wall. Defeat the Pine Bears before climbing if you can get them to come down to you.
The second cake is linked to several Pine Bears. Once you get the first cake, a couple wooden bridges appear allowing you to cross to the area where the cake is located.
Defeat some more bears to get the second cake.
The third cake is also linked to Pine Bears—lots of them. Use attacks that affect several targets if possible to whittle them down and break the spell protecting the cake.
There are lots of bears protecting the third cake. Try to defeat them from a distance rather than rushing in and getting surrounded.
The final cake is tough to get. Cross over a bridge and defeat lots of Pine Bears along the way. Three Mahogany Bears are linked to the final cake. Their shockwave attacks only affect characters on the same level as them. Therefore, use a character with a ranged projectile attack and stay lower or higher than these enemies as you attack them. This is also a good opportunity to use your character’s special move. Defeat all of these bears and then grab the cake so you can continue towards the exit.
