Templates help you create games much quicker since some of the work is already done for you.
One of the new features in Disney Infinity 2.0: Disney Originals is the ability to place templates into your Toy Box Worlds. A template is a group of toys that are placed all at once. Many of the toys have already been connected together and “programmed”. Therefore, you can drop them into a world, move some of the pieces around if necessary, and then be ready to play.
Templates are also a great way to learn about creating your own games. Place a template in one of your Toy Box Worlds and then study to see how the toys are connected one to another. Try out the template and then make changes to it to see how it affects the game. Some templates can be linked together to make larger games or to add features to your worlds.
In order to unlock a template in the Toy Store, you must first unlock or purchase all of the toys that are contained in the template. Once you have all the toys for a template, it automatically unlocks. There is no need to unlock them separately. Disney Infinity 2.0: Disney Originals includes many different templates. They can be organized into four different categories.
Terrain Layouts
The terrain layout templates mainly consist of several terrain pieces as well as plants and/or decorations. They can be added to your Toy Box Worlds to decorate them in very little time as well as to provide some challenges.
Money Bin Game
Protect the money bin from the Beagle Boys with the Money Bin Game template. This game generates enemies in waves, which you must defeat.
Rail Terrain
Add some sliding fun with this Rail Terrain template. It features a square pattern of rails with five intersections. It can be connected to other rails or even other rail templates. Use this as part of a world or as a way to explore how rails and intersections work.
Twisty Rail Terrain
Add some twisty, sling fun with this Twisty Rail Terrain template. It features twists and spirals of rails that can be connected to other rails or rail templates. There are even a couple intersections here.
Mountain Peak Terrain
Add a snowy mountain peak to your Toy Box with this pre-built terrain template.
Mountain Path Terrain
Climb up the mountain on a pre-built pathway with this terrain template.
Mountain Ledge Terrain
Scale the mountain wall with this pre-built terrain template.
