Rescue the Hostages #1

You can rescue the five groups of hostages in any order (except the third group, which can’t be reached until after the second group is freed), but the groups are numbered here to make it easier to identify them.

The first group of hostages is behind a downed tower made up of silver bricks . Target the obstruction with Hawkeye, who destroys it with an Explosive Arrow.

Freeing the hostages brings up a large Avengers logo that becomes a Shield Boost Pad. Hold off on putting the pad to use. There’s another group of hostages nearby to free first.

Rescue the Hostages #2

Head for the overturned cars flanked by large fires . Scan the area as Black Widow. The scan reveals a Red Grapple Hook. Target it with Hawkeye to free the hostages trapped in the rubble.

Rescue the Hostages #3

Loki strafes the area after the hostages under the rubble are freed. Put out the fires left in Loki’s wake with Captain America’s shield. Defeat the Chitauri guarding the hostages to let the humans escape.

Rescue the Hostages #4

The final two groups of hostages are close together at the end of a street guarded by Chitauri. Target the shop window made up of blue blocks with Hawkeye. His Sonar Arrow breaks the glass and sets free the hostages trapped inside the store.

Rescue the Hostages #5

You can’t destroy the flying craft from the ground. Look for Twirl Poles high up on the wall. Go to the Shield Boost Pad with Captain America, who launches Black Widow up to a higher ledge.

Use the Twirl Poles to reach the overturned bus. Activate her stealth and sneak up to the flying Chitauri. Press the indicated buttons to leap up and take out the pilot.

Without its pilot, the ship crashes into the street and scatters debris everywhere. Use the bricks to build a large carjack. Then scan the area with Black Widow to reveal the gold brick underside of an overturned car . Destroy the bricks with Hawkeye’s Thermo Arrow.

Use the bricks from the car to build a Shield Switch. Hit the switch with Captain America to power the carjack, which flips the bus back onto its wheels.

Destroy the pizza sign on the side of the bus to reveal a Red Grapple Handle. Switch to Hawkeye to pull off the side of the bus and free the last group of hostages.
