Unlocking Characters

You unlock characters in several ways. Characters used in Story Mode are yours to use, free of charge. Loki becomes available for purchase (125,000 studs) after you complete Earth’s Mightiest. Ultimate Ultron, unlocked when you first complete Ultron Undone, costs 500,000 studs.

Some characters are unlocked when you find their character tokens in Story Mode levels, in hubs, and around Manhattan. You also pick up character tokens when you defeat some villains in hubs or Manhattan. Finally, some characters ask you to undertake a mission on their behalf. Regardless of how you get characters’ tokens, you must also spend studs to activate them.
