Story Mode

If you’re new to the Super Hero business, then you’re in the right place. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the information in this chapter and you’ll be ready to take on every challenge thrown your way throughout the course of Story Mode and Free Play.

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers drops you into the thick of the action immediately. You control each of the Avengers during the Prologue, and then meet the core of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the first of many “Hub Transit” missions that occur between many levels.

Your first time through each level takes place in Story Mode. The characters available for use are limited. You are free to use any of the preselected characters and may switch (or “tag”) freely between them. These characters possess the skills needed to meet the objectives of the level, but they lack the abilities to uncover every collectible. Collecting everything is reserved for Free Play.
