Since no Sim can properly function in society without a full stomach, the kitchen is another critical part of the house. Stock the kitchen with the things necessary to create at least simple meals, such as a stove, sink, and refrigerator.

Counter space is also important, as your Sim will need someplace to prepare meals more complex than a bowl of cereal.
