Call-out Locations

Sniper Tower

Other Names: Snipe 1 and Snipe 2
On each side of the map, across from one another at Blue Base and Red Base, is the Sniper Tower. This tower consists of several areas. On the bottom is where the Sniper Rifle spawns. To the side, facing the open air outside, is the Grav Lift, which takes you to the second level, known as Snipe 2. Snipe 2 contains the Regenerator, along with a cornered barricade behind which you can take cover. Leading from Top Snipe or Snipe 2 toward the back of the tower is the Snipe Ramp. This ramp leads to the area known as “the Cut.” Also leading from Top Snipe or Snipe 2 is the Snipe Bridge. This bridge takes you to the Platform, or “Plat.”

Platform

Other Names: Plat
Platform is located in the open spawn area on either side of the map. From here, you can move in any direction and can also easily access the Snipe 2 area of Sniper Tower by way of the Snipe Bridge.

Sword Spawn

Other names: Sword
Hidden within this area’s bunker is a Covenant Sword. Accessing this area from either Red Base Courtyard or Blue Base Courtyard (the area directly in front and to the side of the Sniper Tower) via the Sword Ramp will allow entrance to the Side Sword areas. One can also access the Sword via Sword Bridge. This area is shrouded by low light and is a secured stronghold against enemies.

Training

Other names: N/A
Positioned between the Sword Bridge and the base, Training is designated by the training poster that appears on the side wall when a player is near. This area contains two ramps: the Pit Training ramp and the customer ramp. Each is identified in gameplay based on the color of your base.

OS Tunnel

Other names: Runway
Beneath Sword Spawn is a tunnel that connects the Sniper Towers at both bases. This area is also accessible via the area directly beneath Sword Bridge.

Green Box

Other names: N/A
The Green Box of either base is positioned directly in front of the area known as the Green Hall. This is centered between Needles Hallway and the Training area and is shielded on one side (the side facing the platform) by a tall, green, sheet-metal wall.

Green Hall

Other names: Camo Hall
Green Hall is located directly in the map’s center and is connected on either side to each base’s Green Box. This area is always a hotbed of activity, as it contains the coveted Active Camo, which provides a stealth-attack option for gaining quick access to the opponent’s base.

Rocket Hall

Other names: Dark Hall, Long Hall, Black Hall
Another hallway that is always active is the Rocket Hall, or Black Hall. This area connects the Needles areas on both sides of the map. The Rocket Launcher spawns here in Matchmaking.

Pit

Other names : N/A
The Pit is located between the back of Green Box and the base Platform. You will be entrenched in warfare as you duck and cover your way through this area. Leading from the Needles Hall to the Sniper Tower courtyard, the Pit is a dangerous place to get caught, as your opponent will have the high-ground advantage.

Shotgun Tunnel

Other names: Shotty Tunnel
Shotgun Tunnel is located in the back corner of the base and is where the Shotgun spawns. Shrouded by low light and positioned between the Needles Hall and the Flag Spawn area, Shotgun Tunnel is a death trap.

Flag Spawn

Other names : Objective
Hidden behind the platform and enclosed on two sides, Flag Spawn is the heart of each base. This low-lying area is directly between the Shotgun Tunnel and the shortcut of Sniper Tower. It has a ramp located against the exterior wall of the base.

Shortcut

Other names : Cut
Shortcut is a small area positioned between the Flag Spawn and Sniper Tower.

Courtyard

Other names : N/A
Sniper Courtyard is an open, flat area located in front of and on the side of Sniper Tower.

Sword Bridge

Other names : N/A
Connecting the Sword Room and the Training areas of the bases, the Sword Bridge is located directly in the middle of the bases. The area under Sword Bridge is known as “Under Sword Bridge.”

Needles

Other names : N/A
Aptly named for the weapon within its corridor, Needles is located on the path between the Shotgun Tunnel and Long Hall. This area is great for duck and cover and features a pit in which you can trap your opponent.

The Apartment

Other names : The Attic, Upstairs
This small room is located above the flag and has a walkway leading out to Shortcut and Shotgun Tunnel. It also has a window looking out toward the Platform. Getting into the Apartment can be difficult. To access the Apartment, you can team-jump, Grenade-jump, or use the Brute Shot to propel yourself up there.

Enhanced Knowledge

When the game starts, obtaining Rockets should be a very high priority. One of the best tactics is to grab the Needler and needle the rushing opponents through Rocket Hall. It is a quick rush tactic that has a high success rate.
In the beginning of the match, the sniper should guard the Overshield, preventing the opponent from sniping it from their runway.
A sniper can camp their own Sniper Tower and take out the other team to stop rushes from Sword Room and Sword Bridge. Also, a Regenerator respawns at Snipe 2, so it is difficult to flank the sniper.
When rushing Camo, it is easy to bounce a Grenade to explode the fusion coils on the other side of Green Tunnel. This can drop the shields of other enemies and sometimes will score a lucky kill.
Another good place to snipe is near Needler Spawn and Shotgun Spawn. Both spots provide enough cover and enable an average sniper to rack up the kills. When at Shotgun Spawn, you can fall back to your objective; when at Needler Spawn, it is easy to fall back to Needle Pit, which is a safer position.
Crouching atop the yellow mats is an easy way to surprise your enemy. It is harder to aim high quickly and accurately, but being up here allows you to get at least one kill without being noticed or killed. However, don’t do this too often in the same match or you will become an easy target.
The detachable Machinegun Turret that is located at Snipe 2 can be used as a power weapon if the enemies have shorter-ranged weapons like the Assault Rifle or Sword. Detaching the Turret is a good way to weaken the enemies so that your team can get easy kills.
The Rocket Launcher can be deadly, especially in close quarters like Rocket Hall, Camo Hall, and the Training area. It is better to stay in more covered areas to increase the damage done by a single Rocket; the enemy won’t have much room to move around and dodge the Rocket.
Use the Sword and Shotgun as flanking weapons to get a pesky sniper off their Sniper Tower, even if they are in a Regenerator.
When playing Capture the Flag, it is best to take the flag through Rocket Hall, because it is the shortest distance with the most cover.
It is very easy to control the Training areas by rushing with a Plasma Rifle; this weapon lowers an enemy’s shield and you can then kill them in one shot with the Battle Rifle.

Using the SMG in one hand and a Spiker in another makes for quick kills from short to medium range.
If you have a Regenerator, it is best to use closer-range weapons to draw opponents into your Regenerator for an easy kill.
When camping in close quarters, one or two Brute Shot blasts and a beatdown will quickly kill an opponent.
Because this is a short- to medium-range map, it is best to stay near your teammates so that you do not get caught by yourself.
When rushing Camo or Rockets, it is best to bank your Grenades off the inside walls so that it takes your opponent’s shields down.
If the other team has the Overshield, use the Plasma Pistol and Needler to quickly take down all their shields.
When you have Camo, it is best to crouch-walk if you know that there are nearby enemies.
The flag and bomb are great melee weapons, as one melee hit with these items will kill opponents.

Advanced Tactics

It is possible to send a Grenade into Sword Spawn by bouncing a Grenade through the small gaps at the tops of the walls that run parallel to the entrances. This can get rid of enemies who are camping with the Sword or who are hiding.
With the help of another person or with Grenade-jumping, you can get into the attic above the Flag Spawn to snipe people from a lot of cover.
On top of Sniper Tower and at Training, you can jump over the walls to confuse opponents. To jump over them, you need to crouch at the peak of your jump.
On a few panels, like in the Pit and the Cut, it is possible to jump onto the higher platform by crouch-jumping and then jumping again.
Throwing Grenades over the middle structures near Shotgun Tunnel or between Shotgun Tunnel and Flag Spawn can destroy an enemy spawn.
When playing CTF, the fastest way to run the flag is by juggling it. Do this by either pressing Y or pushing the Grenade Throw button and then picking up the flag and repeating. Do not do this on Assault, because it shows where the bomb is.
If you put a sniper on top of the opposing team’s Sniper Tower and put one person by the opposing team’s Training area and one person between Green and the enemy’s side of Long Hall, you will probably force the enemy to respawn in their Shotgun Hall. Beware, though: they can respawn at the bottom of their Sniper Tower as well, trapping you in their tower.
When trying to sneak up on a sniper atop a tower, stand near the snipe lift and bounce a Grenade off the back wall. It typically lands by the shorter wall on the top of Sniper Tower.
The wall atop Sniper Tower has little holes through which you can snipe. These holes provide a good view of the Training area, and most opponents will not realize where they have been shot from until it is too late.
While standing on a Training area, you can Grenade the other Training area by bouncing a Grenade off the wall above the Sword Bridge.

Sniper/Ambush Locations

The Apartment

This provides an excellent sniping point and good cover unless enemies begin throwing Grenades up at you or launching Rockets. Don’t stand on the floor grating, or you’ll be seen—and shot at—from the base below. From the Apartment, you have sight of Long Hall, Green Hall, Training, Sword Bridge, Sniper Tower, and parts of your Pit.

Shotty Snipe

Shotgun Tunnel provides a great sniping location, because it looks down your Needles, into Long Hall, and into your opponent’s flag ramps. Because of the narrow opening here, you can strafe between the wall and Shotgun with enough cover to dodge approaching snipers.

Snipe 2

The upper Turret location has aluminum L-walls to hide behind, while the walls underneath are excellent for darting in and out of. There are excellent views across to the opposite Sniper Rifle location. This can also be used to protect players running into your flag area and can assist in killing any enemy flag carriers.

Sword Snipe

With direct views of both side’s Green Box, partial views of Long Hall and Training, the Sword Room provides plenty of cover for ample sniping. You can also perch out on the ramps to assist teammates who are being swarmed.

Long Hall Sniping

Just as with sniping from Shotty Snipe, you can stand at the beginning of Long Hall and strafe between the wall and Rocket Spawn; however, from this location, you can also snipe any players entering through your Training area and Green Hall and from their Shotgun Tunnel.

Yellow Ledge

In front of Sword Bridge is a yellow ledge called “Top Yellow.” This area of the map is often overlooked by players in Matchmaking games. Positioning yourself atop the yellow protruding wall will give you the height advantage to take our your enemy below. You can also perch on the yellow ledge next to Long Hall to attack any players entering through Long Hall and Green Hall.
