General Tactics
Weapon and Vehicle Tactics
A good combo for weapons is a Battle Rifle, a Shotgun, and a Regenerator.
Going to the basement through the “chute” is a good escape route. If your foe is pursuing you, throw Grenades at an exit of the chute to either kill or wound your opponent.
You can use to your advantage many of the “spore pods” that explode. They are located in the underground part of the map.
Securing the Ghost and attacking opponents in the lower levels is a good strategy. The underground is a tiny area that is hard to escape, so players are trapped, giving you a good chance of splattering them.
Offense and Defense
You can rush for the Sniper Rifle or the Rockets at the beginning of the game; however, you can also camp beside the two weapons and wait to ambush your opponent as they attempt to pick them up. This way you know they are down a teammate or two, and you can acquire the weapons without having to immediately defend an attack.
If sniping is your best or preferred tactic, grab the Sniper Rifle and stay on the outermost edges of this map. This will help prevent your enemy teaming up on you. A good backup tactic is having a teammate with the Assault Rifle get the Regenerator. But if you’re going to work with the Sniper Rifle, try keeping your kills to a minimum unless you prefer to be hunted down.
A teammate who holds position atop a structure can easily spot enemies and call out their position so the whole team can find them quickly and score easily.
You can also join a teammate and get on a Mongoose with a Brute Shot. This can be very useful in getting quick kills and damaging the opposing team. Watch out, though—you are an easy target for the Battle Rifle and can be flipped easy with a well-planted Grenade.
Enhanced Knowledge
Game Variant Tactics
For Free for Alls and Multiteam, stay on the map’s edges to prevent the enemy from ganging up on you. You can gang up on others, but it can be easy for your foes to steal your kills or kill you.
In Infection Spree games such as Mmmm Brains, if you start out as a human, communicate with your team as much as possible. Get your team to go down into the Bunker. The Red Bunker is the best one to be in, because the zombies spawn in the Blue Bunker. Once you’re in the Bunker, give each teammate a job. Have some guard the doors, some guard the windows, and the others guard the hole in the ceiling. Enemies will usually have a hard time killing you, but if they get one of your teammates, you’ll have less help against the zombies, which multiply fast. The people guarding the doors are most likely to get killed first.
Advanced Tactics
When getting shot by a pesky Ghost and you don’t have Rockets, use a Brute Shot to easily flip this vehicle. Or you can use a Spike Grenade to kill them.
Holding Top Mid with your team can be a good tactic, because you can watch where the enemy is spawning and get a good target on them. Have one by Shotgun, one by Sniper Bridge, and two holding out the hill.
If your teammates can control the map with all Battle Rifles, Regenerators, power weapons, and the Ghost, you’ve pretty much won the game.
If you go slightly down the ramp into your base, you can jump onto the ledge above. It proves to be easier to reach other major spots at the beginning of the game.
Have all team members throw Grenades at the Sniper Rifle spawn while your opponents run to get this weapon. It can be quite easy to snag a few kills while securing the sniper area.
Sniping & Ambush Locations
Tree Camper
Climbing trees in this map gives you good ambush spots. If you go to the end branches and crouch with your preferred weapon, you can sometimes score easy kills, because inattentive opponents who don’t survey their surroundings will become easy targets for you to score on.
Cover Sniping
The best environment for a sniper is behind rocks, on trees, or in a heavily sheltered place that has a “chute.”
Goose Jump
You can use a Mongoose that is located near the base to jump onto a ledge on top of the bases. Use it to snipe or ambush unsuspecting foes trying to sneak into your base.
Ledge Camping
Another great spot to hide is in the Wormhole located atop the Shotgun Base. If you walk off there slowly, you can land on a small ledge, where you will be well hidden. It provides enough room for two players to hide and ambush.
Window-Shopping
Another good way to surprise the enemy is going down into your base to the window. You can see the other base and the Rockets on the floor there. A good tactic is to pick up Spike Grenades (in front of the window) and throw them at the floor or the enemy to score an easy kill.
Cubbyhole
In the back of each base, there is a small cubby that you can jump into. Use this for camouflaged sniping.
