Bio

Normally, William Regal is one of WWE’s most smug and haughty Superstars. A distinguished Englishman, Regal finds most others crass and downright unworthy of his time.

While presenting himself as a dignified man away from the ring, Regal is a sadistic mat technician inside the squared circle, taking great pleasure in torturing his adversaries with stiff strikes and brutal submission holds.

Learning the ropes as a young teenager, the native of Blackpool, England, traveled across the United Kingdom wrestling in carnivals.

Facing off against challengers from the carnival circuit as well as from the crowd, Regal quickly garnered a reputation as a lethal opponent, with fists of iron and dozens of different holds to render his adversaries helpless.

Always interested in sharpening his tools as an in-ring competitor, Regal traveled across the world, winning several championships in Europe, the Middle East, and Japan.

After finding further success in WCW, Regal carved his tremendous legacy in WWE, winning numerous championships and accolades that would forever cement his place of greatness.

His crowning achievement, however, was when he became truly regal, winning the prestigious 2008 WWE King of the Ring Tournament.

Part English gentleman, part Blackpool brawler, Sir William Regal stands as one of the most dangerous grapplers on the WWE roster today. And there is no telling when the fierce competitor will drop his more dignified persona to put a disagreeable Superstar in his place.

Breakdown

William Regal plays a key role in the Road to WrestleMania, so you’ll get to know him well. For such a pompous Superstar, his attributes fall to the lower end of each category, and he ends up with just a 79 Overall rating.

His best attribute is an 85 in Submission, but arguably his best technique is the Power of the Punch, where he slaps on a set of brass knuckles and unloads a vicious, looping overhand left to his opponent’s head. Use this to set up a Finisher.
