Bio
Trained by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, Daniel Bryan competed on the indie wrestling circuit for 10 years.
Honing his craft on multiple continents, Bryan became well known for a hybrid of Japanese and American offensive styles that made good use of vicious elbow strikes, precision kicks, spine-jarring suplexes, and various torturous submission maneuvers.
First coming to WWE as part of the inaugural season of WWE NXT, Daniel Bryan soon made it clear that he was destined for great things.
After shaking the drama of The Nexus—which formed out of WWE NXT season one—Bryan refocused his efforts on a solo career, exciting the WWE Universe with his unique ring style and bone-snapping artillery.
Eventually the determined Superstar’s efforts came full circle, when he captured his first championship in WWE from then-United States Champion The Miz, his former WWE Pro.
With Daniel Bryan’s experience and drive leading the way, he will look to make history every time he steps through the ropes.
Breakdown
Now here’s a mid-80s Overall rating Superstar you can really get behind. Daniel Bryan’s got awesome submissions and five abilities, and he’s one of just 10 Superstars with the personalized Comeback ability.
With 85 Speed and Agility and 95 Adrenaline, there should be a lot of running attacks and grapples. He’s got a good Recovery attribute at 90, but his real weakness is in Durability (60), so if you get caught in a late-match submission it will prove difficult to escape.
For some reason, his Charisma is a paltry 70 and the announcer talks trash about Daniel Bryan throughout the entire match. We think Daniel Bryan is one of the most dynamic and exciting Superstars to play in WWE ’12.
