Bio
The Guerrero family gene line reads like something out of wrestling history; his grandfather was the legendary Gory Guerrero, and his late uncle, WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, is a name that will continue through the ages.
“Chavito” began his quest at an early age, often competing with Eddie during the intermissions of Gory’s shows in Texas. After making his official in-ring debut in Mexico and traveling around the world, Chavo came to WCW in 1996, winning the Cruiserweight Championship twice during his time there.
Chavo came to WWE in 2001, and has won the Cruiserweight and WWE Tag Team Championships multiple times. He fulfilled a life-long dream when he teamed with Eddie Guerrero to win the gold in 2002.
Following the tragic passing of Eddie in November 2005, Chavo has dedicated every match to his late uncle and adopted Eddie’s signature Frog Splash as his own finishing maneuver.
In 2008, the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” aggressively pursued CM Punk’s ECW Championship, leading to Guerrero’s greatest triumph: an ECW title reign.
No matter who he is with or against, Chavo is loyal to his bloodline and a proud member of one of the most celebrated families in WWE.
Breakdown
Chavo Guerrero is a fairly agile, high-flying Superstar with four assigned abilities (nice!) and a Finisher that is a tribute to his Uncle Eddie. However, he has just a fair 76 Overall rating, mostly because his Durability, Strike Power, and Strike Defense attributes are so low at 60.
It will be hard to match up with any other Superstar in the game, so take advantage of his powerful moves from the ropes with Outside Dives and Springboard Dives. If you get into a striking match, it will be a long night in the ring.
