Zone 1

The RPG gunners are marked with diamond icons. Shoot them quickly. If they hit the fuel tanks on the helo, you are toast.

1. Defend the Crash Site

The helicopter carrying the Ranger QRF was attacked and shot down. A handful of the Rangers is all that survived. As the wounded are being extracted from the downed helo, you are ordered to man the side door minigun.

This weapon puts out a shower of lead and will mow down the enemy.

It will keep firing as long as you hold down the trigger, but it can overheat. You don't need to shoot in short bursts, since it can take a bit to get the barrels rolling and the weapon shooting.

However, give it some time to cool off if you don't see any enemies. The main threats are the RPG tangos.

They appear with a diamond icon over them in your HUD and teammates usually give you a verbal warning as well. Be sure to kill these hostiles quickly. Keep up the fire.

Eventually an RPG round will hit the helo and knock you to the ground. Time to get out.

2. Rally Up with Team

After getting up, quickly move out of the helicopter. Take cover behind some rocks and start firing at enemies. Your rifle is equipped with a grenade launcher.

To switch to the grenade launcher, press the grenade launcher button to cycle back and forth between your rifle and the attached grenade launcher. Try this weapon out and fire some grenades at enemies behind cover.

If you need more grenades, there is a crate near the helo.

Use your HUD to see where you need to move to rally with your team. Since you will be under fire, sprint from cover to cover to get to the team.

3. Rain CAS on Fixed Position

The machine gun in this position is preventing your team from advancing. Call in some air support to take it out.

Once you have met up with your team, it is time to deal with the main threat in this area. The enemy has a fixed position up on the hillside with a machine gun. It is protected by some ad hoc armor plating.

You will need some heavy firepower to take it out. Luckily there is an AC-130 gunship, callsign Clash 01, in the air overhead. Meet up with Tech. Sgt. Ybarra and get a SOFLAM from him.

Use it to designate the fixed position. The gunship will then take it out with one of its cannons.

As soon as you take out the target, take cover behind the rocks. More tangos will be trying to kill you.

4. Move Up with Team

Watch for the smoke trails from RPG gunners. Follow the smoke trail back to the gunners and kill them.

After you have cleared out the immediate area, follow your teammates forward. As you come under fire, take cover behind some rocks. There is another RPG gunner, so take him out.

As you continue around a corner to the right, watch for tangos on the snowy slope above the draw through which you are moving. Neutralize them with long-range fire and advance along with your team.

5. Rain CAS on Fixed Position

Scratch one more machine gun position.

There is a second machine gun position up on the hillside ahead of you. Check your HUD to see where you need to be with the SOFLAM and move there.

Take aim at the position and lase it for Clash 01. After the machine gun is silenced, clear out any remaining tangos in the area and then follow your team up to the position you just destroyed.

6. Clear Bunker with Team

The bunker was protecting this entrance to a cave.

As you get to the position, there are some sheets of metal covering a hole in the side of the hill. It is an entrance to a cave system.

As your team walks up to the cave and tries to open the door, Hernandez is shot and wounded by hostiles inside.

Another teammate blasts open the entrance with a frag grenade. Time to head into the dark.

Zone 2

7. Search Caves for SEAL Team

The cave is filled with tangos. Move through cautiously and kill all of them along the way.

Enter the cave and switch on your night vision. You will encounter hostiles in the areas where the cave widens out. There are plenty of crates and rocks behind which you can take cover.

As you move through these areas, be sure to check to the sides and any corners where enemies could be hiding.

You don't want to be shot in the back as you continue through the cave, so clear as you go. In one area, your teammate will call out "Flares!" Quickly switch off your night vision or you will be temporarily blinded.

The tangos have thrown flares in the large area so they can better see you.

The flares also allow you to see them. Take cover and neutralize them. Head up a small ladder to continue through the cave. Keep fighting tangos as you advance.

As you get to the end of the cave, there are some friendlies up ahead. You have found Voodoo and Preacher, two of the SEALs.

Zone 3

8. CSAR with SEALs

Upon exiting the cave, follow the SEALs as all of you perform a Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR). Right before you drop down from a ledge, you will find a Dragunov SVD sniper rifle on the ground.

While it is not necessary for the mission, if you like sniping, switch your M1014 for the sniper rifle and take it with you. Catch up to the SEALs at the bottom of the snowy slope and get ready to fight.

The Al Qaeda camp has lots of rocks and stone walls behind which you can take cover. Use it so you don't die.

9. Eliminate AQ Camp and Fighters

As you turn to the corner to the left, you find an Al Qaeda camp. There are lots of hostiles here. Take cover and begin engaging the enemy. The first part of the camp has some close engagements.

Head around to the left and then go to the right, as you move towards the large open area.

Once you have cleared the first part of the camp, find a good spot from where you can engage enemies out in the larger, more open area. If you picked up the sniper rifle, this is a good place to put it to use.

On the other hand, as groups of tangos move behind cover, blow them up with a grenade from your launcher. You can pick up some more grenades later.

The grenade launcher works well in the open area at the camp. Aim at the ground as tangos run towards cover and you can take out two or three with a single round.

After you clear the open area, head left through a gap in the rocks and move towards an area with camouflage netting.

Instead of fighting your way through that area and getting shot at from enemies above, head up a narrow slope to the left so you can flank the enemy.

Kill all the enemies in this upper area and fire down on those below. Keep pushing to the end of the camp where you will find a crate with some grenades for your M203 launcher.

10. Continue CSAR

Now that the camp is cleared out, take some time to restock your grenades. If you need ammo, ask a teammate for some.

When you are ready, get a buddy boost from a teammate and then follow the SEALs along a path. After dropping down from a ledge, you will start taking fire from the enemy.

11.Eliminate AQ Fighters

The enemy has some hardpoints up ahead with a machine gun and some RPGs. They can really hurt you if you don't take cover.

Quickly take cover behind some rocks. Pick off enemies above you and to the left. Clear the area immediately in front of you and then advance. There is a machine gun position in the distance as well as RPGs.

Don't stay in one place too long and sprint when moving.

Follow the path around to the left so you can approach the enemy while staying behind cover. Kill tangos along the way while advancing on the hardpoints.

As you get close to the first position, hide behind a stone wall. Drop prone and then lean to the left to take shots at the hostiles inside.

Pick off as many tangos as you can see by the machine gun. This will allow your teammates to move forward to help out. Eventually, you will receive some air support that takes out the hardpoints and clears the way for you to advance.

12. Find the SEALs

Stay low behind this stone wall and launch grenades at the enemy in the hardpoint.

Follow your teammates forward towards a cave behind the closest hardpoint. Move through the cave to the end where you find a closed door. Kick in the door to find the two captured SEALs and complete the mission and the campaign.

You will be rewarded with the Eight Heroes Abroad, Rangers Lead the Way, and the Battle is Won achievements/trophies.

Kick in this door to find Rabbit and Mother.
