Zone 1

The enemy is following your team. Try to hit as many as you can while they are silhouetted against the sky at the top of the ridgeline and without any cover.

1. Defend Position

This mission takes place immediately after the previous mission; however, you are now one of the SEALs in Neptune and moving away from a mass of Taliban fighters.

Take cover behind a log and start firing at hostiles as they come over the ridgeline. Expect to take a lot of fire. Be sure to duck down behind cover when reloading or when you start getting hit.

When your teammates call out positions of RPG gunners, target them immediately, since one hit by that weapon can kill you.

Tier 1 Tactics

Usually during a Tier 1 mission, you want to rush. However, since it doesn't take many hits to kill you, it is important to use cover and then either lean around it or peek over it.

Consider using the M14 EBR and getting extra time by making head shots on the enemy.

2. Fall Back on Smoke Grenade

After killing many tangos, your team is ready to pull back. One of them will deploy a smoke grenade. Keep firing at the enemies while your team gets ready.

As soon as they tell you to move, leave your position and sprint towards your teammates. Don't waste time turning and firing at the enemy behind you. Just keep moving until you get to some ruins and then take cover.

3. Defend Position

As your team is withdrawing, you also want to eliminate as many enemies as possible. Therefore, you are holding at the ruin for a bit to kill some tangos as well as make arrangements for an extraction.

The first hostiles will come from the direction you just moved. Stay low in the ruin and take them out.

However, as more Taliban arrive, they will try to flank you on the right side. Watch for RPG gunners on the ridge to your right and kill them.

Pull back from the ruin and take cover behind some rocks along the path. They will give you better protection against fire from the right flank. Stay put until your teammates are ready to bug out from this spot.

The tangos are trying to flank your position. Take them out and then pull back a bit to better cover.

4. Fall Back to Helo

The helicopter is coming to pick you up at the primary LZ. It is just a short distance away. Your teammates pop some more smoke grenades and then take off.

Follow them down the trail and then around a corner towards another ruined building. The helicopter is trying to land.

However, there are hostiles at the LZ and the slope is causing a bad updraft that prevents your ride from setting down. Clear out the tangos—especially the one with an RPG—and then move into the structure for cover.

The LZ is hot and the helicopter is not able to land. Take out the enemies so they don't shoot down your way out of here.

Zone 2

5. Find Secondary LZ

Follow your team out the back door of the structure and rush across an open area to another set of ruins. Once again, take cover. Be ready to engage enemies who are following you.

6. Call in CAS on Enemy Hut

Once in the ruins, move over by your teammates and you will automatically pick up the SOFLAM. Aim at the hut you just moved through near the primary LZ and designate it as a target.

Some jets will fly over and drop a bomb on it, killing all the hostiles inside and near it.

Call in some close air support by lasing the hut so that the flyboys can deliver a bomb on the enemy's cover.

7. Defend Position

The air strike took out several hostiles, however more are on the way. Stay put in the ruins, find good cover, and be ready to defend your position. Stay behind the wall and then peek up through a window to take shots.

Try using your M14 EBR to pick off targets at a distance—especially those with RPGs. Just follow the smoke trails back to the hostiles firing the RPGs.

8. Move to Secondary LZ

Your teammates have called in another air strike. However, for this weapon, you are too close. Move to the back wall of the ruin and your teammates will give you a buddy boost up.

However, the second bomb hits just as you are getting to the top. The concussion from the blast blows Voodoo off his feet, dislocating his shoulder. While he can still move, there is no way he can handle the M60.

You are now the machine gunner for your team. Head out to another ruined hut and take cover. There are enemies in the village ahead of you.

Lean out from the doorway and start shooting at them. Keep up the fire. When your teammates move forward, follow them towards the village and then past some buildings to a spot overlooking the rest of the village.

Reload your weapon while you are moving. Take cover behind some rocks and start firing on enemies.

Tip

When firing the M60, stay crouched and stationary to improve accuracy. Also fire it in short bursts rather than just holding down the trigger.

As your team moves forward, stay back and provide covering fire. Then once they are behind cover, rush forward and duck behind a wall in the middle of the pathway before resuming fire on the enemy.

From this spot, you can mow down hostiles as they try to move to cover to advance towards you. Stay here for a while and just kill tangos.

Stay behind this ruin and lean to the left to attack enemies on this side of the village. At this position, you will be safe from fire from the right and have a perfect shot at enemies as they move from the structures to the large rocks.

Feeding the Pig

As long as you find a good position for firing the M60, this is an easy achievement/ trophy to earn. You only have to kill 15 hostiles with the M60 to earn this award.

With all of the tangos moving around, you will have no trouble getting this award as long as you keep using the M60 and have good cover.

Zone 3

9. Get on to the Helo

When you get the word that your ride has arrived, leave your cover and start moving through the village, then out the other side. You will have to take out some tangos as you go.

Follow your teammates until you see the helicopter and then sprint for it. Don't stop until you are up onto the ramp.

The helo is hovering over the roof of a building. Run right up onto the ramp as quickly as possible.

10. Cover Team's Move to LZ

Once on the ramp, get onto the door machine gun and start firing at the enemy. Voodoo and Preacher don't get on before the helo has to lift off. Kill the enemy near your teammates on the ground so they can start moving to another LZ.

The pilot will slip the helo to the side so you can continue supporting Voodoo and Preacher by killing the hostiles moving through the village. As usual, watch for the telltale smoke trails of RPGs and kill the tangos firing them.

Your helo will eventually take a hit and need to move away, leaving your two teammates alone in hostile territory. Keep shooting as long as you can and you will earn the Cliffhanger... achievement/trophy.

Mow down the hostiles as you provide covering fire for two of your teammates. Aiming can be difficult when firing from a moving helicopter, however keep up the fire. If you don't kill all of the enemies, at least you got some of them.
