Playing Disney Universe on your own is a lot of fun as you take on HEX and his minions single-handedly. However, playing with other players adds a new dimension to the game, as you work together while also competing against each other at the same time.
Playing As a Team
When you play through the worlds with another player, you go through the same levels, fight against the same enemies, and complete the same objectives. However, during multiplayer games, you are not alone. You have one or more players to help you out. While you can all share the responsibilities of getting through a level, it is a good idea to focus on each player’s strengths. Those players who have mastered the fighting combos and know how to defeat the mini-bosses can be in charge of fighting enemies. Some players may be good at jumping across gaps or up to high platforms. They should be the ones to go after items you need to complete the objectives. Divide up the tasks and you can get through the levels quickly and without having a lot of respawns.
Playing Against Each Other
While you can play cooperatively with other players, you are also competing against each other for grades and awards. Therefore, don’t forget that to win, you have to beat the other players. Learn what it takes in improve your grade and what will lower the grade of the other players. Coins and collectibles are big helps to your grade. Also, keep your respawns low. To lower the grade of other players, attack them, pick them up and throw them, or “accidently” hit them with ground slam attacks or while using power-ups to defeat enemies. Of course, since they are right there in the room with you, don’t forget some good-natured trash talk. Keep it nice and clean, but let them know you are there and are going to be the one to go home with the gold grade.
