Hagia Sophia’s Secret
Requirement: Collect all 10 Memoir Pages; this can only be achieved after Memory 03 of Sequence 05.
After you have gathered all 10 Memoir Pages, you can reach this location via a door to the right of the main Hagia Sofia entrance, found on the northeast side of this magnificent and commanding structure.
As the free running and climbing skills required to reach the final waypoint aren’t too demanding, completing the Full Synch objective is just a matter of being familiar with the required route. Pause to study our annotated screenshots and instructions before each part of the journey, and you might achieve it on your first attempt.
I: From the starting position, climb over the obstruction to the west and swing on the pole to reach a wooden beam. Climb along the outer walls of the corridor, using Back Eject when prompted, to reach a chandelier; from here, head through the opening to your right. Jump and swing down to the ground, then run to the north to trigger a cinematic sweep of the interior.
When play resumes, follow the route illustrated here to reach a zipline, then ride it down. This will activate a checkpoint, and create a shortcut enabling you to return to this position in the event of a fall.
II: Scale the scaffold and traverse to the left to reach an opening in the railing, then climb up; if you are not on a speed run, or have moved with absolute precision so far, there is a Bomb Stash to open in the northwest corner.
Run through the archway to the east, then perform a Long Jump on the hanging fixture to reach the opposite balcony; there is another Bomb Stash close to the east wall. Climb to the ledge to the south, then follow the route shown here. Ride the zipline down to reach the west balcony.
III: Use the wooden beams to cross the hole in the floor to the south, then perform a Long Jump to swing over another. Head through the archway, then climb over the obstruction to the east. Jump over to the beam to the north, then follow the route shown here.
When you reach the final ledge, move to the far left and climb up a little to perform a Back Eject to reach a third zipline.
IV: After you land, ascend to the very top of the scaffold, then traverse to the right until you reach the ledges highlighted in the accompanying screenshot. Climb to the top, then Back Eject; when you land, leap over to the waypoint.
Perform a Leap of Faith into the pool after the cutscene, then open the three Treasure Chests before you interact with the sarcophagus to claim Ishak Pasha’s Armor . You can now return to Constantinople via the highlighted exit.
The Impaler’s Tomb
Requirement: Only available in special editions of Assassin’s Creed Revelations, or as a preorder bonus.
Once you have unlocked this location, interact with the shimmering book in Sofia’s Bookshop. With this initial task accomplished, head to the cemetery in the south of the Constantine district and enter the door at the Hidden Tomb marker ( ).
I: Once inside, free run on the short course directly ahead and to the left. When you reach the upper level, take a right, then a left. Swing down to the lower level, then continue west until you see an opening on the south wall.
Follow the route illustrated here to bypass the locked gate; perform a Side Eject from the ledge to reach the platform to the right, then ride the zipline down. In the next area, follow the obvious climbing route to reach an opening in a wall, then swing via the pole to reach the lower level.
II: Follow the route illustrated in the accompanying screenshot. Execute a Long Jump when you get to the hanging fixture to reach the balcony, then perform a Leap of Faith from the perch. Swim to the ledge, then follow the tunnel (be wary of unseen pitfalls in the gloomy light) until you come to a room and, beyond it, a staircase.
III: Climb over the gate, then head west to reach a large room; climb the north wall. Use the ledges and platforms to get to the large arch to the south, then follow the route pictured here; from the right-hand side of the arch, make a Side Eject to reach the next ledge in line, and another Side Eject to the left from the ledge just below and to the side to arrive at the entrance.
Jump onto the suspended cage, then traverse to the left, around the corner, and climb to the top via the door.
IV: The next task is to climb the shaft to reach a balcony up high. Jump over to the sewer opening to the south, then climb on top of the wooden beam above. From here, jump over to the north and ascend until the camera angle changes to reveal a Back Eject opportunity.
Finally, use the wooden framework to the south to begin the last part of the climb to reach an opening to the north. Be careful when you arrive at the position shown in the accompanying screenshot: a chance misstep or accidental jump here will be fatal. Back Eject from the chain to get to the balcony, then run down the steps.
Loot the stone container to obtain Vlad Tepes’s Sword: a special weapon that will instill great fear in the hearts of Ezio’s opponents, causing a 15% chance that an individual will flee with each blow he lands. Exit via the nearby gate to return to Constantinople.
