Assassin's Creed: Revelations eGuide Essentials Reference & Analysis

Shops

In this section, we examine the wares and services that Ezio can procure from the merchants he encounters in Constantinople and Cappadocia. For information on the Rebuilding Constantinople metagame, see page 86 of the Side Quests chapter.

We specify base prices throughout this chapter. If a store is in a region controlled by Templars, an additional 10% premium will be charged. If it is governed by the Brotherhood, Ezio will receive a 15% discount.

Book Shops

Most Books in Revelations are acquired by purchasing them from these merchants, with an Achievement/Trophy for acquiring all of them. Book Shops also sell Treasure Maps, which helpfully mark the locations of Treasure Chests on the main map and mini-map.

Piri Reis

Introduced to Ezio in Sequence 03, Piri Reis is a unique merchant in two important respects. Most of the wares in his Grand Bazaar establishment are unavailable until you complete his missions (see page 99), or fulfill specific assignments in the Mediterranean Defense metagame.

Perhaps more importantly, he will also purchase surplus crafting ingredients from Ezio for the same price he charges to supply them. This can provide income that you can invest in making great progress in the Rebuilding Constantinople metagame from an early stage in the story.

Black Market Dealers

Though their services are useful in an emergency, you will often find that it is better to construct your own purpose-built explosives at a Crafting Table than hand your hard-earned coins to a Black Market Dealer.

If money is tight in Sequence 03, however, patient players can turn a profit by bulk purchasing the Fuse Cherry Bomb and Impact Caltrop Bomb, dismantling them, then selling the components to Piri Reis.

You never have to travel far in Constantinople to find a Doctor – especially as opening Medical Shops will also mean that the local practice will open mobile carts in the surrounding region.
