The Imperial Japanese Navy conquered the coral atoll of Wake Island in 1941. The island remained in Japanese control until the end of the war in 1945.

Now, 70 years later, the US Marines have returned to this small island in an attempt to secure the airfield, now occupied by Russian forces.
With air, ground, and sea units prepared for deployment, this small horseshoe-shaped island is once again the site of an intense battle between two superpowers.
Prepare yourself for some close-quarters action during this intense fight at the North Base. While the beaches on both sides of the peninsula are well within the map’s boundary, avoid these low, open expanses.
The beaches offer zero cover or concealment, making you a sitting duck for opponents. If you spawn on either beach, rush toward the high ground of the North Base and seek cover near one of the concrete structures.
Don’t be surprised if enemy troops have already occupied these partially built structures. Before entering, toss in a grenade and wait for a response before stepping inside.
The more players that are crammed onto this tiny map, the more chaotic the battle becomes. So instead of trying to formulate a grand team strategy, focus on staying within sight of teammates so you can support each other.
While the concrete buildings offer some protection initially, they can be destroyed with rockets and other explosive weapons.
So if you suspect enemy troops are hiding in one of the buildings, bombard it with rockets and grenade launchers to deny your opponents cover.
