Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand DLC eGuide Maps Conquest

Sharqi Peninsula (Conquest)

This vital position on the Persian Gulf possesses a TV station with a powerful transmitter that aids the ongoing Russian campaign by broadcasting propaganda.

US rapid deployment forces have captured this coastal position and now face a determined counterattack by converging Russian forces.

This lazy seaside resort of villas, markets, and beach houses is about to become a modern battlefield as US forces attempt to hold onto their newly captured communications prize.

Conquest Assault (3 Flags)

This time it’s the RU team who is on the offensive. They are eager to establish a foothold within this coastal resort town. The US team begins the battle with control of all three flags, instantly draining the RU team’s ticket count.

The RU team must gain control of at least two flags to turn the tables on the US defenders. While the Construction Site (A) is the flag closest to the RU team’s deployment area, trying to take that flag can result in heavy losses.

The RU team is much better off bypassing the Construction Site (A) and going after the Parking Lot (B) and TV Station (C) to the east.

A: Construction Site

These rear positions are much less likely to be defended, plus they’re much easier to capture. So when playing as the US defenders it’s important to lock down every single flag.

C: TV Station

Control Point Assets

US Control RU Control Respawn Time
Growler ITV
VDV Buggy 30 sec.
M1 Abrams

M220 TOW Launcher
T90A (1) 30 sec.

While most fighting is likely to occur around the Construction Site (A), the other two flags cannot be abandoned at any time. If the US team doesn’t take defense seriously, they stand the risk of losing all three flags.

And with no flags to spawn from, the US team will lose.

Conquest Assault 24

At the start of this battle, the RU team has the town partially surrounded, with deployment areas to the northwest, west, and south.

The City Entrance (A) and Hotel (C) are likely to take the brunt of the attack during the opening moments. So the US team should spawn plenty of troops at these two locations and reinforce them with the M1 Abrams and AH-1Z Viper deployed at the TV Station (E).

B: Surveillance Point

Instead of just attacking the perimeter the control points, the RU team should also make an early move for the TV Station (E). Securing this crucial flag can knock the US team back on their heels and denying them their only tank and attack helicopter.

C: Hotel

Control Point Assets

With five flags on the map, both teams must hold at least three to initiate a drain on the opposing team’s ticket count.

D: Construction Site

This is a very fluid battle, but the team that manages to hold the Hotel (C), Construction Site (D), and TV Station (E), are likely to come out on top.

E: TV Station

So instead of spreading their forces thin, the US defenders may want to consolidate their troops around these three locations from the very start.

Conquest Assault 64

At the start of this massive battle, the US team holds all seven flags, instantly draining the RU team’s ticket count. However, the US team runs the risk of spreading their forces too thin across all seven control points.

BTR-90

While it’s still important to hold all the flags as long as possible, the US team should strongly consider consolidating their forces at the Hotel (C), Construction Site (D), Parking Lot (F), and TV Station (G).

B: Surveillance Point

This will still allow them to drain the RU team’s ticket count, albeit at a slower rate. The RU team must enter this battle aggressively.

Instead of chipping away at the perimeter control points, the attackers should attempt big moves early on.

Using the Mi-28 Havoc, consider dropping a recon soldier at the TV Station (G) and have them deploy a Radio Beacon to establish a nearby spawn point.

If the RU team can take the TV Station (G), they deprive the US team their tank and attack helicopter, thereby making it much easier to dominate the defenders at other control points.
