All Materials Guide in The First Descendant – Where to Find All Materials

Your very own Access Info page!

The First Descendant has an encyclopedic number of farmable materials, and what better way to help the community than to create a central hub for all the materials, including the best way to farm each item? In this all-resource guide, you’ll find links to a more detailed guide to finding the material. Since some materials, especially the rare ones, are difficult to find, they need their separate guide to explain the best farming methods. Here’s your very own “Access Info” screen to farm all the resources you need!

Most rare materials are hard to find, and each link will lead to a separate guide with a unique strategy to make your farming more efficient.

Example 1: Conductive Metallic Foils drop from mission monsters in Vesper at a low drop rate. They also drop from Encrypted Vaults in the Vespers region. If you click our linked guide, it’ll show a specific farming path to easily find these Encrypted Vaults and get all the Conductive Metallic Foils you need.

Example 2: Some rare materials drop from monsters in Infiltration Operations. The Murky Energy Residue drops from Unkown Laboratory and Forgottense. Our guide will show you which one is faster or more efficient, including tips like “beat this commander to get the Murky Energy Residue, and you can leave the mission and restart it to save some time.”

All Normal Materials And Where to Find Them in The First Descendant

Normal materials from non-dismantling sources

Carbon CrystalMetal AccelerantReverse Charging Coil
Ceramic CompositeMonad ShardSemi-permanent Plasma
Compound Coating MaterialMonomolecular ExtractorShape Memory Alloy

The normal materials above drop from Munition and Resource Boxes. Our guides will show you not only the region where you can farm the material but also the most densely populated Munition and Resource Boxes in the region.

Example: Reverse Charging Coils drop in the Fortress region. The best way to farm is through the Aurora Forest battlefield since the waypoint is close to 2-3 Munitions and 4 or more Resource Boxes. You can reset your instance by switching difficulties, and since the waypoint is so close, you can farm thousands of Reverse Charging Coils in a few minutes.

Normal materials through dismantling

MaterialWhat Items to Dismantle
Energy Control CoreAuxiliary Power, Sensor, Memory, Processor (all rarities)
High Precision Exchange ComponentsWeapons (all rarities)
Liquid MetalWeapons (standard and rare only)
Multi-Composite ReceiversWeapons (all rarities)
Nano CompoundReactors (all rarities)
SuperalloyWeapons (standard and rare only)
Superconductor CoreReactors (all rarities)
Void OrganismAuxiliary Power, Sensor, Memory, Processor (all rarities)

These materials are pretty straightforward. You’ll dismantle specific items to get the materials. Doing any other farm that drops loot will give you these materials.
