How to Get Conductive Metallic Foil in The First Descendant

These Encrypted Vaults are becoming a nuisance...

The First Descendant has several “rare” materials that are hard to find and used for endgame builds. The Conductive Metallic Foil is one of many materials you need to stockpile when min-maxing Descendants. Before you can get them, there are a few requirements, and we’ll cover them in this guide. Here’s how to get Conductive Metallic Foils in the First Descendant.

Where to Get Conductive Metallic Foil in The First Descendant

Conductive Metallic Foils drop from mission monsters in the Vespers region. They can also drop from mission monsters from the Sepulcher and The Shelter Duty of the Descendant (dungeons) in Vespers. However, the drop rate is abysmal. I’ve tried farming 10 Sepulcher runs but haven’t gotten a single drop. I’ve tried extermination and supply missions and didn’t find a single one.

However, one overlooked farming method for Conductive Metallic Foils is farming Encrypted Vaults in the Vespers region. You can read more about these Encrypted Vaults in the link above.

Conductive Metallic Foils will drop from any Encrypted Vault in the Vespers region, whether they are normal or hard. If you have stockpiled any Code Breakers or Code Analyzers, make sure to change the difficulty to the appropriate Codes you already have.

Code Breakers = hard mode; Code Analyzers = easy mode

Best Conductive Metallic Foil Farming Method in The First Descendant

Go to the Timberfall battlefield in the Vespers region and look at the image above. You want to stay around the middle and start spamming Ecive Scan. Look in every direction of the colosseum-like structure until you hear a high-pitched ping. That ping will tell you that you are looking in the right direction.

Start looking for the Encrypted Vault and open it. They are usually above the scaffoldings. Use the Codes to open the Encrypted Vault, and you’ll get a 100% drop rate on Conductive Metallic Foils.

Go to a different region and fast travel back to the Timberfall battlefield to restart it. If your Ecive Scan doesn’t have a vibration effect on your Descendant’s hips, there are no Encrypted Vaults nearby. But, since these Encrypted Vaults are always in this vicinity, you know that they just haven’t spawned yet.

Keep repeating this strategy until you get as many Conductive Metallic Foils as you need.

What Are Conductive Metallic Foils Used For?

Conductive Metallic Foils are mainly used to craft Energy Activators. You need a whopping 25 Conductive Metallic Foils to craft a single Energy Activator, along with four other hard-to-acquire materials.

It makes sense that these Energy Activators are hard to acquire because they provide one of the strongest power boosts for your Ultimate Weapons or Descendants.

Apart from the Energy Activators, you also need 8 Conductive Metallic Foils to craft the Python SMG. This is a Toxic-based SMG, so it is extremely powerful. However, these materials are hard to come by, so it is best to stick with at least a Thunder Cage if you are still farming multiple things at once.
