Serena’s exclusive Divine Surge module is one of the most sought-after modules for her DPS build in The First Descendant. Divine Surge gives Serena so much AoE damage, and it’s a great option. Here’s the best way to get the Divine Surge module in The First Descendant.
The Best Way to Farm the Divine Surge Module in The First Descendant

The best way to get the Divine Surge Transcendent module is by finishing the Broken Boundary operation. You’ll have to finish the starting questlines from the Beyond the Void season, such as the Void Vessel mission and the Sigma-Sector quests.
Once you unlock the Broken Boundary operation, finishing it can drop the Divine Surge module on the last boss. It is best to continue the questline and unlock the High-Risk version of Broken Boundary to get Serena’s other blueprints if you haven’t unlocked her yet.
These also drop the materials needed to research Serena, such as Veildust, so everything related to Serena can be found in these operations.
However, if you want to run Intercept missions, the Pyromaniac can drop the Divine Surge module on hard difficulty. Since Void Intercept missions have a high chance of dropping high-rarity modules at the end, it is also a great way of farming Divine Surge.

Is the Divine Surge Module Good for Serena in The First Descendant?

The Divine Surge module helps Serena get a massive boost to AoE damage, especially if you haven’t finished building any weapons for her kit like Greg’s Reversed Fate, Thunder Cage, Voltia, and more.
Her clear speed is remarkable because of her AoE damage. With how her Ascension and Redemption skills work, she can clear more than 10 targets in the blink of an eye. However, with just a simple addition of a Divine Surge module, she can wipe out mobs of enemies with a single Divine Surge, including a knockback and a damage-over-time effect.
Some of the best Serena builds all play around the same Descendant modules such as adding HP and skill cost and reduction management, but there aren’t that many Transcendant module options for her, making Divine Surge an easy plug for her build. The Hymn Transcendant module is used more for support or builds that deal decent damage and can be sacrificed to gain more mobility.
Nevertheless, Divine Surge should be Serena’s go-to DPS module, and everyone who plans to play her should farm it immediately, preferably farming the module as you farm her materials.
