How to Get Fusion Plasma Battery in The First Descendant

Looking for Ultimate Ajax?

The Fusion Plasma Battery materials fall under a very niche category, but some players might need them in The First Descendant. While this material is one of the materials to craft Ultimate Ajax, the other weapons tied to it aren’t that popular. Nevertheless, Fusion Plasma Batteries drop in low quantities, but there are ways you can farm it more efficiently. Here’s how to get Fusion Plasma Batteries in The First Descendant.

Where to Get Fusion Plasma Batteries in The First Descendant

Fusion Plasma Batteries drop from the Zone Recon Missions in the Sterile Land region. There are three Zone Recon Missions, and only two missions drop the batteries. Here are the two missions you should farm:

  • Sterile Land Rockfall: Vulgus Strategic Outpost
  • Sterile Land Classified Area: Vulgus Strategic Outpost

When you go to one of these outposts, you need to defeat the commander in the end to get the drop. If you don’t pick up the loot from the eliminated commander, you won’t get the Fusion Plasma Batteries. The drop rate isn’t 100% either; however, it should be above 50%. Only 2 out of the 10 runs didn’t drop the Fusion Plasma Batteries. It is a small sample size, but it feels consistent.

You get an average of four Fusion Plasma Batteries every time it drops, so stockpiling this material can take a while.

The other Zone Recon Mission, Sterile Land The Repository: Vulgus Strategic Outpost, has a different boss in the end, which is maybe why it doesn’t drop the Fusion Plasma Batteries. I experimented with running this a few times, and it just wouldn’t drop.

Best Way to Farm Fusion Plasma Batteries

Zone Recon Missions has a 5-minute cooldown before you can run them again. However, you can switch instances by going back and forth on the two different battlefields or Zone Recon Mission or changing the difficulty upon fast traveling to an outpost.

If a lot of players are farming these missions, you might get into an instance where the Zone Recon Mission is on cooldown already. You should try to look for a fresh one by constantly switching.

What Are Fusion Plasma Batteries Used For?

Fusion Plasma Batteries are used for the following research:

ProductFusion Plasma Batteries Needed
Clairvoyance Nano Tube10
Albion Cavalry Gun Nano Tube Blueprint10
Viessa Enhanced Cells40
Ultimate Ajax Spiral Catalyst91

Since these rare materials drop in low quantities, farming for the Ultimate Ajax Spiral Catalyst may take a while. On the bright side, you don’t need Codes to open Encrypted Vaults like most rare materials.
