How to Get Crystal Biogel in The First Descendant

Pythons or Ultimate Lepic?

Looking to upgrade your starter Lepic in The First Descendant? What better way to do it than to get his Ultimate version, but you’ll need to farm the blueprints and rare materials like Crystal Biogels. Crystal Biogels drop decently through specific missions, but it can take a while to stockpile them. Here’s how to get Crystal Biogels fast in The First Descendant.

Where to Get Crystal Biogel in The First Descendant

Crystal Biogels drop from three specific missions in the White-Night Gulch region. Two of them are Zone Recon Missions, which have a 5-minute cooldown before you can finish them again. The other mission is an Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor in the Mountaintops battlefield that needs Void Shards to complete.

Since the Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor mission needs Void Shards, it isn’t efficient to farm. Even if you have Void Shards to spare and even Amorphous Material Patterns to open from the mission, it still isn’t efficient if you only want Crystal Biogels.

The Zone Recon Missions you want to finish are:

  • Shipment Base: Vulgus Strategic Outpost
  • Hatchery: Vulgus Strategic Outpost

These are much more efficient to farm, and Crystal Biogels drop from the last commander after destroying the Vulgus devices.

Best Way to Farm Crystal Biogels

The best way to farm Crystal Biogels is to alternate between the two Zone Recon Missions. Switching battlefields through fast traveling to each waypoint, resetting the world instances in the process. If the missions are still on cooldown after teleporting, it means that someone else finished it in that instance.

You can either switch your game from public to private or change the difficulty before fast traveling to the waypoint.

What Are Crystal Biogels Used For?

Crystal Biogels are used for the following research:

ProductCrystal Biogels Needed
King’s Guard Lance Nano Tube11
Python Polymer Syncytium Blueprint11
Lepic Stabilizer43
Ultimate Lepic Stabilizer97

Surprisingly, it takes 97 Crystal Biogels to craft an Ultimate Lepic Stabilizer, so it will take eight or more Zone Recon Missions to get this many materials. Python is also one of the strongest SMGs, right up there with the Thunder Cage. If you are building a Python and enhancing its unique ability, you’ll need to craft four of these Python Polymer Syncytium Blueprint to max it out, needing another 44 Crystal Biogels.
