Health Pickups

Health pickups add HP to your health. If you’ve taken damage, health pickups refill your health. If you’re already at 100% health, grab more of these pickups to increase your health up to twice its normal maximum level. This bonus, called a health overcharge, deflates over time, back to the normal range.

Armor Pickups

Grab armor pickups to boost your defense. Armor partially absorbs damage whenever you come under attack. After taking damage, build your armor reserves back up by picking up more armor.

Ammo Pickups

Each ammo pickup corresponds with a certain weapon. Expect to see these stationed more frequently around earlier levels, becoming sparser as you progress through the story. There are plenty of times when the weapon you end up using for a situation is dictated more by what ammo you have available than by what’s ideal. Grab all the ammo pickups you come across, plus any ammo dropped by enemies.
