The Sims 3 Showtime Guide Essentials New Simology
SimPort
Tour Requests can be conveniently accepted or declined from the SimPort Home Page.
In addition to playing venues within your town, you can also send your Sims out on tour through the new SimPort feature.
By sending your Sims on tour and hosting other players’ Sims, you can earn Simoleons, Lifetime Happiness points, and career experience, and even unlock new Stage Props.
Access SimPort from the menu, cellphone, or any computer. You must be online and logged into your The Sims 3 account to access SimPort—your game must also be registered.
Accessing SimPort opens the SimPort Book. Think of this as your passport. From the SimPort Book you can create Tour Requests to send and host Sims, as well as accept available Tour Requests from friends.
This is also where you can manage your Tour Requests in progress. The tabs on top represent your Sending Sims Tour Stops and earned stamps.
The tabs on the left represent your Hosting Sims Tour Stops and earned stamps.
Sending Sims on Tour
Even if you meet the prerequisites for a Tour Stop, you cannot send a Sim on tour if they are the sole member of a household. Somebody has to stay behind and watch the house while you’re gone.
Before you send a Sim on tour, you must first send a host request via the SimPort Book. Click on any of the Tour Stop squares on one of the Career pages to send a request to your friends.
You can also send your Sim by clicking Send a Sim on the Home Page or by clicking Accept on one of the Tour Requests sent to you by your friends.
If you friend accepts the request to host your Sim, you will complete a Tour Stop. Upon completion of a Tour Stop you’re rewarded with a stamp in your SimPort Book along with everything else your Sim brings home, including Simoleons, Lifetime Happiness, and career experience.
Collect all of the stamps on any Career page to unlock cool stage objects and outfits. You can continue to send your Sims on tour and earn rewards for any Tour Stop, even if you have already earned the stamp.
You can have a maximum of four Sending Sim Tour Requests at once, across all your saved games. Click on a Sim’s avatar on the SimPort Home Page to cancel an active Tour Request and free up a tour spot.
You can also call your Sim home by clicking their portrait in the skewer.
When Sims go on tour, they exit the town via taxi or limo and are gone for 12 hours.
Once you have successfully created a Tour Request, your touring Sim leaves in a taxi or limo (depending on their career level).
The touring Sim will be grayed out in the skewer and will return after 12 hours. In most cases you must wait and see if your friend made it to the show before you earn a stamp and all of the rewards, even if your Sim has returned.
Keep an eye out for updates about what happened at your Sim’s show. These only show up if your friend made it to the show at the same time you are logged in and playing your game.
Tour Rewards
Each career type has 15 Tour Stops, each with unique rewards—shown in the accompanying table.
Although you earn a different stamp for each Tour Stop, each one awards the same Simoleons and Lifetime Happiness across all three careers.
If you obtain all 15 Tour Stop stamps under each Career tab, you’ll unlock new props as well as new costumes.
- Singer Unlocks: Street Cred Props and new clothes
- Magician Unlocks: Mysteria Stage Prop Set and Magician costumes
- Acrobat Unlocks: King, Queen Stage Props and new costumes

Hosting Sims
When hosting a Sim, you must select a venue and Tour Stop before sending the request to a friend.
Sending Sims on tour isn’t the only way to rake in Simoleons and Lifetime Happiness. You can also earn these rewards (and a stamp in your SimPort Book) by hosting Sims at venues in your town.
Choose one of the Venue tabs on the left side of the SimPort Book and click on any of the squares representing Tour Stops. You may host only one Sim at a time.
Similarly, you may have only one active Tour Request to host a friend’s Sim at a time. To increase the chance of having your request answered, send the Tour Request to all your friends.
Once you have a Hosting Sim Tour Request, it will be in progress and you can see it on the Home Page of your SimPort Book. Your friends have 24 hours to accept a request before it times out.
An accepted request remains active until your friend’s Sim completes the show and returns home. When a friend accepts your offer to host, you get a notification with the option to accept the Sim into your world.
Once you accept your friend’s Sim, you get another notification about when and where the show will be, and a map tag appears pinpointing the location.
If you’re hosting a touring Sim, make a note of venue and time so you can catch the show.
Just before the show is about to start, you receive a pop-up that gives you the option to help your friend’s Sim’s show by setting up their stage for a blockbuster performance.
You can choose the default venue setup or a custom setup to personalize the stage for your guest. During the performance, your active Sims can interact with the show by doing things like cheering, booing, and making requests.
They can even throw items on stage, which visiting Sims will sometimes take home with them. When the show ends, the visiting Sim will go home in their taxi or limo.
If you successfully completed a Tour Stop by hosting your friend’s Sim, you will earn a stamp in your SimPort Book as well as Simoleons and Lifetime Happiness points.
Collect all nine stamps for each venue to unlock a new set of Stage Props. You can continue to host Sims on any Tour Stop, even if you’ve already collected the stamp.
Host Rewards
There are five different types of venues and nine Tour Stops per venue type, each with their own specific rewards.
The following tables show exactly how many Simoleons and Lifetime Happiness points you earn with each completed Tour Stop. If you attain all nine Tour Stop stamps per venue type, you unlock new Stage Props.
- Park Venue Unlocks: Sugar Shack Stage Props
- Coffeehouse Venue Unlocks: Decor8 Stage Props

- Private Venue Unlocks: Mer-Made Stage Props
