East India Company
The East India Company is a National Wonder that rewards your primary trade hub. Instead of giving you more money for outgoing routes, this building raises the value of routes that come into your city. Your nation gets the most benefit (+4 Gold per incoming Trade Route), but the nation that controls the route gets +2 Gold as well.
Take a look at your trade network when this building becomes available. If you're not a major trade power, you might find that very few are trading with you. If so, the East India Company won't be much for your civilization; the Gold bonus only works for International Trade Routes. When one city has multiple routes coming into it, you know exactly where to build. It's well worth your time, and the money is substantial.

National Visitor Center
It takes quite a bit of work to set up this National Wonder; you have to construct Hotels throughout your empire just to unlock access to the National Visitor Center. Thus, you won't see most civilizations trying to build this. Only Culture players are likely to bother, but it's a necessary part of their plan for victory. The increased Tourism output due to this building is amazing, as long as you build it in your city with the most Cultural elements.
