The first Puzzle Piece is quite easy to locate. Continue forward through the enemies after the level begins until you reach the DK button. Pound it into the ground to lower the door, and the first of the Puzzle Pieces will appear where the door once stood. Only eight more to go!
Be careful around the crushers and the Pyrobots underneath the main path. It’s easy to take a hit from one while trying to evade the other.
The second Puzzle Piece is found inside a raised platform that is seemingly divided by one of the crushers. However, if you follow it down, you’ll find that there is a pair of hidden rooms on either side of the crusher, containing Banana Coins and the Puzzle Piece.
You’ll eventually come across a set of four crushers pointed up towards the roof, with a small platform above them containing a Pyrobot. If you bounce off the Pyrobot and pull to the structure on the left, you’ll find a hidden bonus chamber for a chance to win the third Puzzle Piece.
The second DK button you’ll pound down will lower another gate and reveal the fourth Puzzle Piece. There’s a bit of a catch though: Electroids are guarding the area, and can interfere with the pounding. Fortunately, the first checkpoint is just behind this door!
Puzzle Piece five is located underneath a pair of presses. To reach it, you’ll have to pound your way through a set of weak support girders.
Things get a bit more exciting just past the fifth Puzzle Piece. You have to use Barrel Cannons to shoot your way past a press. If you mistime your shot, it’s back to the checkpoint with you! This takes you to another set of Barrel Cannons that are aimed between sets of Tiki Zings, and are moving at a very high speed. If you collect all of the items between the Tiki Zings, you’ll find a sixth Puzzle Piece.
Surviving the cannon gauntlet will get you further up into the factory next to another DK button. Pound this one down to reveal Puzzle Piece seven, as well as another checkpoint.
These large presses have convenient spaces to duck into in case you can’t make it through fast enough. Be careful though, as they may have spikes that you’ll still have to crouch to avoid!
The eighth Puzzle Piece can be found just beyond a set of three rapidly rising presses, guarded by a large group of Tiki Zings. If you collect the formations of bananas and coins above them, you’ll trigger the appearance of the Puzzle Piece.
The final Puzzle Piece can be found shortly after one last Barrel Cannon launches you to the roof of the Robo Factory. Blow into the megaphone on the left side of the room to make the piece appear.
To reach the Slot-Machine Barrel, defeat the Pyrobot patrolling the switch underneath it, then pound the switch to launch your powerful robot into action. You’ll have no trouble reaching that Slot-Machine Barrel once it strikes.
