Genshin Impact – The Second Largest Geovishap

We travel back to Liyue in order to nab all those necessary items, one of which is going to be a bit tricky if you don’t have a proper shield built. But here’s where Zhongli, Noelle, and other shielders will come in handy. In the Minlin territory, Xiao’s boss is Primo Geovishap. This boss can be accessed by traversing through Tianqiu Valley and discovering the entrance surrounded by vines and Treasure Hoarders. Another way you can enter in is one a bit more obvious. Taking the route through Nantianmen, you can travel Southeast where the raised pillars will guide you to the deep chasm where the Geovishap is resting. Randomly, the Primo Geovishap will embody an Element of Pyro, Cryo, Electro, or Hydro. This will change the type of attacks that it will unleash in battle and therefore be more effective against your characters. While in slumber, you can observe the Boss from afar to properly plan out what your party is going to require, that way you can be more effective against it. All the while, you’re still going to need a shield character or a Geo character. Every so often, the Primo Geovishap will unleash a tremendous attack that could potentially wipe out one of your characters. The only way to combat this is through having a shield on your character at that present moment. Then the attack will rebound and affect the Primo Geovishap instead, dealing a chunk of damage to itself and saving you a lot of time chipping away at them. If you don’t have a shield character or your shield breaks before then, you can also make sure that there are Crystallize shards around the field by having a Geo character on the team. Whenever Geo interacts with an element other than Dendro and Anemo, it’ll produce a crystal. Picking this up, the character will gain a shield that is resistant against that type of Element, and counts as a shield to reflect the attack back to the Geovishap.

One of the downsides of Xiao’s boss is that it won’t drop the necessary Level-Up Anemo material he’ll need. The Vayuda Turquoise is dropped only by specific bosses, the Anemo Hypostasis, Maguu Kenki, and the Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network. It can also be dropped by a few World Bosses, but in comparison to some of the other gems, it’s quite difficult to get. There are stores you get them from, including the Gem Dealers in each territory as well as transfiguring them on the crafting table. Slivers are also delivered by Katheryne each time you finish your daily commissions, this doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get the Vayuda Turquoise, but it is a way that you can steadily gain them in small increments. All methods combined, it may take longer than your average grind for bosses, but there are options aside from merely going after and destroying the Anemo Hypostasis.

Liyue Ascension Materials

Xiao’s going to need two items along with his boss materials, one being the Qingxin flowers and the other being the collective drops you can collect from defeating just about any slime no matter the region or Element variant. Qingxin is a peculiar flower that only grows in high places, like the Violetgrass, it’s a bit difficult to collect all in one go and may require several runs throughout the mountains in order to gather all 168 that you’ll need to fully ascend Xiao. Luckily, there are a few more additional places where you gather this flower and you don’t have to be wishing for more stamina for it. At Baizhu’s place of business, you can buy the Qingxin flower as well as many of the Liyue exclusive flora. This shop doesn’t run out of these flowers, but it does take a week for them to restock so be sure to start early so you’ve gathered more in time for Xiao’s arrival.

Slimes can be found with a kick or a stone or a hop, skip, and jump just about anywhere in Teyvat. If you don’t have the resources gathered up in full by now, then you can always refer to your trustworthy Adventurers Journal and turn to the Enemies tab. You know it, you love it, you just scroll till you see the slimes that are in the list of opponents you’ve encountered thus far and hit Navigate. Genshin’s map will then direct you to the largest clumps of slimes that exist on the map and will switch around the icon once you defeated all of the slimes in that area. Slime drops can be bought or exchanged at Paimon’s Bargains, but with an enemy as commonly seen as the slime, you should be good to gather all of those resources within a good week of grind.

Talent Materials and Domain

Xiao’s Talent requirements are Prosperity which can be found in Liyue’s Talent Material Domain every Monday and Thursday, then all the talent materials can be farmed on Sundays. The Taishan Mansion is in the pit of Jueyun Karst that’s available after completing the puzzle. It’s not one that takes too long or is too difficult. It mostly involves the standard Liyue puzzles where you will break down rocks and bring the glittering star to the proper shrine. But it all starts at this enemy spot, defeating all of them will begin the puzzle, and then it’s merely a fetch quest until all of the water drains from the canyon and allows for you to properly unlock the domain.

The only other material that Xiao will need to ascend his Talent Branches is the slime drops once again, which are either already in your inventory or can be easily farmed. The most difficult of these is going to be the Slime Concentrate, which can be combined from smaller materials, if you have a lot. Or, you can buy Slime Secretions from the shop and then combine those at the crafting table. True to form for most Liyue characters, once you pass Level Six, you’re going to need drops from the infamous Harbinger Battle – No, it’s not Signora, the OG Tartaglia. Ra Ra Rasputin, he’s back. Childe is a World Boss that unlocks upon finishing the Archon Story set in Liyue and can drop four types of Boss Material that are needed for Liyue characters. The type that Xiao is going to need is the Shadow of the Warrior.
