How to Finish the Secret Benefactor Quest in Escape from Tarkov

You’ll get The Secret Benefactor quest after Fight Back, and it leads to the Partisan task at the end of the questline in Escape from Tarkov. It got introduced in patch 0.16.6, and it is a reasonably easy quest since you can finish it on different maps.

Here’s how to find the charity recruiters’ notes to finish the Secret Benefactor quest in Escape from Tarkov.

How to Complete the Secret Benefactor Task in Escape from Tarkov

To finish the Secret Benefactor task, you must finish the following objectives:

• Locate and obtain the new charity recruiters’ notes
• Hand over the information to the Therapist

For this quest, the recruiters’ notes can be found in three different maps: Shoreline, Customs, and Woods. It is a rare quest in Tarkov where you can have these options, but let’s go with the easiest one.

The easiest way to finish the Secret Benefactor task is to run Customs while bringing a green flare for extraction in Railroad Passage.

You don’t have to bring a specific loadout, so feel free to bring whatever you’re comfortable with. The recruiter’s notes are located inside one of the rooms on the first floor of the Stronghold in the middle of Customs. Reshala or the Goons may spawn in this location, so you can throw a Zarya or grenade before entering if you want.

The two best spawns to finish the quest are in Old Gas Station (by the old gate) and the connector near RUAF and Crackhouse. If you get these spawns, you can rush the Stronghold and technically be the first one there. If both spawns rush toward the Stronghold, you’ll be forced to fight inside since you’ll meet at the same time (slightly faster for the Old Gas Station spawn).

Once inside the Stronghold, look for the room to the south. It will have some boxes, crates, jackets, and a med case for looting. Look for the counter between the bunk beds, and there should be a journal in one of the compartments. Loot the journal or recruiters’ notes and head straight for the Railroad Passage.

The path to Railroad Passage is relatively safe since you should hear players going to that area while you are inside the Stronghold.

Secret Benefactor Other Spawn Locations (Woods and Shoreline)

Woods

Apart from Customs, you can also go to Woods to finish the quest if you prefer. The recruiters’ notes are located in the Scav Camp near the Scav Bunker and Friendship Bridge. This is also where the Goons roam around and spawn, so it can be dangerous to approach.

The extraction point is so far from this area, and you might also run into some landmines if you run straight to the Outskirts and you aren’t familiar with the map.

Shoreline

In Shoreline, you can find the recruiters’ notes inside the big warehouse in the middle of the Shoreline expansion (near Smuggler’s Path and the north vehicle extraction point). The notes are on top of the green table, next to the radio.

As for your extraction, the closest option would be the north vehicle extraction point, if available. If not, go to Path to Lighthouse or Road to Customs. You can even take the Mountain Bunker if you ever get the secret exfil note.

Going out of the Shoreline expansion is dangerous since it is a massively open area. You are susceptible to snipers from the east of the resort. This is why Customs is the best map to run to finish the quest.
