New Moodlets

The quick-glance measurement of a Sim’s current happiness—or lack thereof—is mood. Mood is displayed in the Mood meter that occupies the bottom-center of the screen, right next to the portrait of the active Sim. The Mood meter is shaped like an upside-down exclamation point. Good mood is represented by green. As the Sim dips toward neutral or tense feelings, the meter turns yellow. When the meter displays red, your Sim is seriously bummed or agitated about something going on in their life or the world around them. You must pay immediate attention to the Sim and rectify whatever situation or interaction is upsetting them or else mood will tank out, and you not only won’t bank Lifetime Happiness points, but you also risk spoiling opportunities and relationships.

Because moodlets contribute to your Sim’s overall mood, you need to pay close and constant attention to the Moodlet panel. Moodlets are the fleeting bits of emotion that come and go with the flow of time as well as the presence of external influences. Some negative moodlets require direct attention. Others, especially the positive moodlets, should be enjoyed and whenever possible maintained so you can extend or at least maximize their benefits. Neutral moodlets often act as indicators, such as hints as to hunger level. A neutral moodlet left unattended will sometimes devolve into a negative moodlet, which in turn spoils the day. Keeping an eye on neutral moodlets is an enormous time-saver, because having to redirect activity to negate a negative moodlet can absorb multiple hours... and often some Simoleons!

	Attacked by the Mummy	5	3 hr	Wow, that mummy takes his job very seriously. It'll take a little while for the Sim to shake that off.
	Attractive Company	10	Variable	Ooh la la! Sim has found a hot Sim to get to know better.
	Being Boosted	0	1 hr	Sim isn’t exactly sure why, but it just feels like something's giving him a little extra boost right now!
	Being Drained	0	1 hr	Sim doesn’t know what it is, but something is just dragging her down right now. Everything just feels a little bit harder than it should be.
	Bewitching Rain	5	3 hr	This magical rain compels Sims to move in strange ways. It does not soak the skin, yet it does cleanse the soul.
	Blizzard	10	30 min	Yes! That was the best snow cone that has ever been made. Sim feels ready to grab life by the throat and throttle every last bit of fun out of it.
	Boosting Another	0	1 hr	Sim is bio-boosting another. How long will she be able to keep it up?
	Brain Freeze	-10	1 hr	Oh! Maybe I shouldn't have eaten that so quickly.
	Brain Fried	-50	1 hr	Hard to… concentrate. Brain… so fuzzy. Sim's thinker got zapped pretty good by aliens. The effects should wear off after a little while.
	Brushed with Zombie Fingers	5	3 hr	Being brushed by any uninvited fingers is an unpleasant sensation, but there's something about the clammy touch of zombie fingers.
	Burning Loins	5	3 hr	You can't argue with the Love Tester, especially when it confirms everything you already knew about yourself. Now for the Sim to share this newfound confidence with someone special.
	Cheery Cherry	10	30 min	Cherry snow cones just make life seem friendlier! Sim is feeling a little more charismatic after enjoying that tasty treat.
	Cursed by the Witch	0	3 hr	Whoa! Sim has heard of haunted houses, but this is ridiculous. (Temporarily turns Sim into a ghost.)
	Discolored Tan	-5	6 hr	Sim thought she might looks good with a little color, just not one of the colors of the rainbow.
	Draining Another	0	1 hr	Sim is bio-draining some much needed energy from another Sim. One sneaky alien!
	Eclipsing Fog	5	3 hr	Ahh… the Weather Stone has provided a nice, chilling fog for vampires to relax in. It is so much more comfortable than the burning of the cursed daystar.
	Egg-cellent Find!	20	3 hr	Sim would have settled for one of those little chocolate eggs, but this decorative egg is way better.
	Feeling Festive	20	3 hr	Mmm… certain flavors instantly put Sim in the spirit of the season, and the sweet spiciness of eggnog definitely makes that list.
	Festival Aficionado	10	Variable	Fun activities, tasty treats, the community coming together—no matter when it's held or what it celebrates, Sim loves a good festival.
	Frostbitten	-10	3 hr	Brrr! It is now officially cold. If Sim doesn't warm up soon, she'll be positively frozen.
	Frosty Face	-5	1 hr	As a reward for her unconventional approach to snow angels, Sim earned a faceful of numb.
	Frozen Loins	-5	3 hr	Wow, that machine did not give Sim any confidence. That’s okay. Eating an entire sheet cake alone in your bedroom is just as good as romance, right?
	Germy	-10	2 days	Sim is feeling a bit more contagious than usual. It might be a good idea to stay indoors and keep war. Other Sims don't want those germs.
	Getting Chilly	0	Variable	The air has a bit of a bite to it! Sim is starting to feel the first trickles of chill.

	Gleeful Grape	10	30 min	Grape, better known as purple-flavor, never fails to impress. Everything just seems a little more amazing!
	Gnightmare	-20	8 hr	Gah! The combination of Evil Gnome + appearing suddenly + next to my bed was simply too much! Gnightmares tonight!
	Got Kissed at a Kissing Booth	30	8 hr	Sim feels pretty good because that money went to a good cause. Namely, getting her big, fat smooch!
	Had a Space Adventure!	10	5 hr	Vrrrrmmm! Pew pew pew! Shields up! Is there anything more exciting than zipping through space in a real UFO?
	Haunted	5	3 hr	The house isn’t the only thing haunted! The memeories of the harrowing experience will be with the Sim for a while.
	Holiday Cheer	10	Variable	Sim is feeling the spirit of the season!
	Hunter's Storm	5	3 hr	A werewolf who seeks collectibles in the Hunter’s Storm is fated to find the rarest of treasures.
	In Your Face	5	3 hr	Rubbing in a victory is all part of the friendly competition. Winning may not be everything, but it sure feels nice.

	Polar Bear Club	15	5 hr	Swimming in icy waters has earned Sim an honorary membership to the Polar Bear Club! Members have shown a strong immunity to the cold.
	Rain Dance	10	3 hr	Sim cannot say why, but suddenly…. She must dance! (Occurs during rain.)
	Raspberry Romance	10	30 min	When the sun is high in the sky, the flowers are blooming, and there's a raspberry cone in hand, a Sim cannot help but think of love.
	Restoration Required	-40	Variable	It's getting hard to concentrate. Sim definitely needs to take a break and restore brain energy.
	Reviving Sprinkle	5	3 hrs	This rejuvenating cascade of flowers brings life back to the land. Dead flowers will spring forth with a new vitality and weeds will shrivel up and vanish.
	Smalltalked	10	3 hr	Yes, there is weather. And how about those current event? Those are going on. You follow the sports team? Small talk might not be great fuel for the mind, but it does help break the ice.
	Spooky Time	10	Variable	Spooky Day is a time for both tricks and treats!
	Spring Fling	10	Variable	Spring is the season of renewal, and it's only natural for a Sim's attentions to turn to romance. It's in the air. Don't try to fight it!
	Starting to Shiver	-5	Variable	At a certain point, "cool" becomes "cold" and the body begins to react. What's next? Chattering teeth?
	Starting to Sweat	-5	Variable	It's very important that the Sim not start to think about how insanely bizarre and gross the process of sweating is. Just let the body do its thing to cool down.
	Sucked into the 4th Dimension	5	3 hr	It never fails. You go in for a simple trip through the haunted house and you wind up hurled into a nether-realm of ghost and flame.
	Sugar Buzz	5	3 hr	Whoa! All that candy is starting to go to the Sim's head. It might be time to dial it back a bit.
	Summer Fun	10	Variable	Summer is only a precious few months out of the year. Sims want to go outside and make the most out of it!
	Sunburnt	-10	12 hr	Getting a sunburn isn’t so bad, aside from the pain and the incredible itching that you can't scratch because of the pain. Also the flaking. Having a sunburn sucks.
	Suntanned	10	1 day	There's a delicate balance, but when the Sim gets a spray tan or stays in the sun just long enough (but not too long), they are rewarded with bronzed skin.
	Sweating Profusely	-10	Variable	Whoof! It's a sauna right now. Sim is sweating like a snake at a bake sale, or one of those snappy colloquialisms. Head inside if you don't want to get burnt even worse.
	Teeth Chattering	-10	Variable	Well, the Sim can't claim they didn’t see this coming. Sim is so cold they literally cannot stop their teeth from chattering. Put on some warm clothes and head inside.
	Tooth Ache	-5	3 hr	Ow! Ow. Too much candy… way too much candy. Never again. Sim swears that was their last candy binge.
	Touched by a Ghost	5	3 hr	Unlike angels, ghosts have a nasty touch that is cold and deep. When those icy fingers phased through the skin on her arm, it felt like her bones were on fire.
	Uneven Tan	-5	6 hr	Sim received a completely uneven tan from the Tanning Booth.
	Unexpected Weight Gain	-5	2 day	Whoa. Were Sim’s clothes always this tight? Is it time to hit the gym? Man, those extra few pounds really sneak up on you.
