Lifetime Rewards
When you max your mood into the bubble at the top of the Mood meter, you begin accumulating Lifetime Happiness points. Lifetime Happiness points are also earned by fulfilling wishes. Lifetime Happiness points are a precious commodity indeed, as they are then traded in for Lifetime Rewards, which are a series of special skills, traits, and objects with unique properties. Gather as many Lifetime Happiness points as possible—this is a great way to measure to the progress of your Sim and see how well they are doing in life.
Competitive Eater
- Cost: 5,000
- Description: The bottomless pit in your Sim’s stomach will help you gain an advantage over others in eating contests. Competitive Eaters will never feel nauseous or stuffed in these contests.
Entering an eating contest is a lot of fun and it pays out in tickets! But there are some drawback to stuffing your face in a race. Your Sim can not only become Stuffed, but also suffer the Nauseous moodlet following the contest, no matter if they win or lose. Well, not only does this reward prevent either of those uncomfortable moodlets from setting in, but your chances of winning an eating contest absolutely skyrocket just for possessing this reward.
Immune to Cold
- Cost: 10,000
- Description: Sims immune to the cold will always stay pleasantly warm.
This reward is different than the Loves the Cold trait. Instead of slowing the negative effects of the cold, this reward outright negates them. You will not freeze or freeze to death once you purchase this reward. You can also go outside without outerwear and suffer no consequences.
Immune to Heat
- Cost: 10,000
- Description: Sims immune to heat can enjoy a nice tan without ever getting burnt.
Like the Immune to Cold reward, this reward negates all of the nasty side effects of spending too much time in the sun. You will not get a sunburn, nor will your Sim ever spontaneously combust in extreme heat.
Festival Frequenter
- Cost: 5,000
- Description: Festival Frequenters know how to get more out of festivals. Your Sim will be able to earn more Festival Tickets and receive discounts on concession stands, face painting booths, and kissing booths.
If you love visiting the festivals, then this is a great reward to acquire. For one thing, your Sim receives the Festival Aficionado moodlet whenever they set foot on a festival lot. (This can help generate Lifetime Happiness points, allowing you to buy additional rewards!) But while at a festival, your Sim earns double Festival Tickets from games and activities. In addition, they also receive a nice discount at concession stands, face painting booths, kissing booths, and more. For festival-minded Sims, it’s a no-brainer.
The Cloud-inator 9000
- Cost: 30,000
- Description: The Cloud-inator gives you nothing less than command of the weather (albeit in an extremely localized fashion). It’s easy to operate: just point, shoot, and laugh in the face of nature.
This Lifetime Reward grants you the ability to project clouds over other Sims’ heads. You have the option to give them a snow cloud or rain cloud halo, which can cause some pretty funny reactions.
To use this reward, your Sim must target a Sim that is currently not in a rain or snow storm—using the Cloud-inator then would just be redundant. Plus, the target Sim cannot be holding an umbrella. Once a Sim is targeted, the Cloud-inator 9000 releases a cloud that appears over the Sim’s head. The Sim usually looks up and, once it dawns on them what’s actually happening, they start to panic. This lasts for several minutes. During this time, the Sim with the Cloud-inator 9000 has their Fun need satisfied, while the target’s Fun decays. This also negatively affects LTR between the two Sims.
If you fire a rain cloud, the targeted Sim gets the Soaked moodlet after they’ve attempted to outrun the shower. Puddles form around them. And then they just get that wet dog look on their face. Also, they cannot use an umbrella because they are too busy attempting to outrun a cloud.
Should you opt for a snow cloud, the targeted Sim gets super-cold before starting their panic run. Now, snow does not accumulate under the Sim, but the snow cloud does tank their internal temperature. (However, not enough to actually freeze them.) Sims with the Loves the Cold trait actually like getting blasted by a snow cloud, though. They respond positively and do not suffer any Fun or LTR loss, although they do not get any positive moodlet out of the event.
The Cloud-inator 9000 works indoors and outdoors.
Now, there is a small chance that the Cloud-inator 9000 will backfire. If this occurs, a thundercloud appears over your Sims’ head. They are zapped with lightning. This will electrocute them. If the Sim is already Singed, the lightning strike will actually knock them dead. Be careful and don’t over-use the Cloud-inator 9000 too many times in a single day—you’re tempting the fates!
All Weather Champion
- Cost: 10,000
- Description: A champion for all seasons. Your Sim is naturally great at snowball and water balloon fight, has the ability of a world-class skater and snowboarder, and is proficient at building snowmen, snow angels, and igloos at an impressive rate.
This reward immediately maxes out the semi-hidden skills related to seasonal activities. Skating (ice and roller), snowboarding, water balloon/snowball fight—all are instantly filled. You will be an ace on the half-pipe, able to spin like a pro on the rink, and more. And though diving is not a skill in Seasons, this reward ensures that you nail every dive. No awkward splashes.
In addition, the All Weather Champion reward also speeds the time it takes to build snowmen, snow angels, and igloos during the winter season. This gives you more time to play!
Climatron Control Unit
- Cost: 40,000
- Description: It’s the dream of any self-respecting mad scientist: a machine that controls the weather. Whether you want to use it to destroy the world’s crops or make the weatherman look dumb, this Climatron Control Unit is the answer.
The Climatron Control Unit is a physical object that is placed on a lot and rests idle until a Sim interacts with it. But when a Sim walks up to it and starts messing around with the controls...? That’s when things in the skies above town get interesting.
When this is activated, you may create a specific type of weather: rain, hail, fog, sunny, and snow. Moments after the storm is selected and the machine is running, the new weather pattern commences. The storm does not last long, but the weather is intense. Heavy rain. Sudden snow storm. Driving hail. And the ground reflects the weather. Snow accumulates for as long as the storm lasts. Rain puddles form everywhere.
The Climatron Control Unit has five charges in it before you need to leave it alone to recharge. Thankfully, there are five little lights that signal how many uses are left before the machine must be temporarily shelved. If a Sim attempts to use the machine when there is no charge, they risk being struck by lightning. There is also a very small chance that when using the machine (even when it does have a charge), lightning will strike the operator. This singes the user. If the user is already singed? Then it’s death by electrocution.
You can also clear away a natural storm with this reward. Just choose the Sunny interaction on the machine and you’ll have blue skies in a matter of seconds.
Simmunity
- Cost: 7,500
- Description: You’ll have super immunity that prevents you from getting nauseous, sick, and allergies.
With this useful reward, your Sim will never develop allergies around wildflowers or get sick due to temperature or communal activities, such as bobbing for apples, Plus, your Sims will never get the Nauseous moodlet following activities like an eating contest, pregnancy, or after a shift at the Alien Test Subject career.
