Objective 1: Recruit the Super Villains
Your first task is to get Magneto and Abomination. The are down in Manhattan, so ride the elevator up to the deck of the helicarrier and then move to the pad and jump off. You skydive down to Central Park.
Follow the hologram to where the villains are located and recruit them to help fight against Galactus.
Now you take control of Magneto and Abomination. You need to get some more villains on your side, so follow the hologram through the streets of the city
Doctor Doom’s jet has a metal clamp on it that’s preventing it from flying. As Magneto, press the use button to remove the clamp with your magnetic powers. Then hop in the jet and fly up to the helicarrier.
Objective 2: Defeat Galactus
The battle against Galactus is divided into four parts, based on a task and the location on the helicarrier. At each part, you will have a combination of four heroes and villains to use to complete the task.
Port Turbine
You need to use the turbine on the port side of the helicarrier to damage Galactus. However, it has some objects blocking its blades. Start off by picking up the object with the green handles and throwing it at the rubble in the turbine with the yellow cracks on it.
Now throw pumpkin bombs at the silver objects caught in the turbine to blow them up and free the blades so they can begin turning.
A jet crash lands to the right of the turbine. Pick it up by the green handles and throw it out of the way.
Assemble the pieces that were under the jet into a grapple handle. Then use a web to pull on the handle to deploy a control pad.
Use the control pad to rotate the turbine up a bit so that the blades are above the housing.
Move over by the turbine and use spider senses to detect some grapple handles under the blades. Shoot webs at them and pull to raise the blades even more and push Galactus away from this part of the helicarrier.
Starboard Turbine
Galactus has now moved to the other side of the helicarrier. Another team now has to work against him. Use the heat beam to destroy the golden object on the left side of this area to deploy a control pad. Then use the pad to lift the blades of the turbine up from the housing. Switch to Abomination and press the use button to blow out the flames near the turbine.
Move over by the turbine and use Venom’s super senses to detect some grapple handles. Shoot webs at the handles and then pull on them to rotate the turbine blades up toward Galactus and force him to move away from this part of the helicarrier.
Central Deck
Now that the turbines keeping the helicarrier up in the air are safe, it is time to work toward getting rid of Galactus for good. Move over to the helicopter that is tied down and pull on the grapple handles so that the helicopter can fly off and out of your way.
Move onto the Fantastic 4 pad so that Mister Fantastic can change into a giant hammer and open up a crate on the deck to release a pile of pieces.
Assemble the pieces into a device and a control pad.
Use the control pad and move the cursor to the row of dots on the right side. Press the button on the screen until the color circuits on the far right light up. Then click on the middle row and finally the row on the left to get the power to the device.
The device activates and begins to open a warp hole. However, when Galactus attacks again, he alters the aim of the device. Quickly move to the left of the device and assemble a Captain America pad. Then stand on it and deflect the beam from the device so that it is aimed at the warp hole. Keep doing this to make the hole grow even larger.
The Bow Deck
The warp hole has been opened. Now you need to get Galactus into it. That is the job of the team on the bow deck. Use Magneto’s magnetic powers on the blue object on the deck to raise a power generator.
Charge up Storm with lightning and then transfer the power to the transformer to raise some pieces up from the deck. Assemble these pieces into the beginning of a large globe.
Use magnetic powers to move some metal objects and free up more pieces. Then add those pieces to the globe.
Destroy some golden objects to the left of the globe with Cyclops’s optic blast. Then add more pieces to the globe.
There are more objects under some flames on the right side of the globe. Storm can put out the flames by soaring over them.
Once the fire is out, break up the objects into pieces and then use them to finish assembling the globe.
Green Goblin puts a candle on the globe and the Human Torch lights it. It looks like a treat for the devourer of worlds.
When Galactus bends down to take a bite, the Hulk and Thor pop out and give him a real surprise—a hit that sends him into the warp hole. The Earth is saved and the Story mode for the game is completed.
