Along with your new wheels, you’ll find a set of new challenges to undertake. Ten races have been added and spread throughout LEGO Manhattan. Five of these are land races that require you to race using the Spider Buggy, while the remaining five are air races that require you to pilot Hawkeye’s Skycycle. Your reward for completing these races is a purple stud, along with any studs that you have earned along the way. These races can also be repeated over and over again, so use them to rack up a sizeable cache of studs early on. All of these races are accessible immediately after completing Level 3: Exploratory Laboratory, with the exception of Race 6, which becomes available after completing Level 4: Rock Up at the Lock Up.
Spider Buggy DLC Races
Race: 1
Location: Avenger’s Mansion
Prerequisite: None
This race begins on the west side of the Avenger’s Mansion, circling the building before exiting the grounds and heading east through the alleys of Washington Heights. Watch for heavy traffic as you race along the waterfront heading south. Soon, you’ll cut through another alley that exits near the finish line.
Race: 2
Location: East Harlem
Prerequisite: None
Drive your Spider Buggy under the parking structure in East Harlem to begin this race. As you wind your way southwest, you’ll pass through Central Park before heading north to finish the race near where you started.
Race: 3
Location: Yorkville
Prerequisite: None
Starting beneath the train tracks in Yorkville, you will rush north before doubling back and barreling through Central Park along the cobblestone paths. Exiting on the park’s west side, you’ll soon come to the finish line near Fisk Tower.
Race: 4
Location: Dockyards
Prerequisite: None
From the Dockyard Amphitheater, barrel over the pedestrian bridge and past Sanctum Sanctorum, cutting through some tight streets into Soho. Watch for the sharp turns down alleys as you make your checkpoints. The race ends in front of the Baxter building.
Race: 5
Location: Roxxon Power Station
Prerequisite: None
You’ll find the starting line in front of the Roxxon Power Station. After driving up a set of stairs, put the pedal to the metal and head north, veering off the road occasionally before climbing the steps of Horizon Labs. After winding through the Industrial District, you’ll find the finish line just east of Fisk Tower.
Hawkeye’s Skycycle DLC Races
Race: 6
Location: The Raft
Prerequisite: Complete Level 4: Rock Up at the Lock Up
This aerial race begins atop The Raft, jetting south and over Manhattan Island. As you pass over the island, your path will follow the train tracks west before heading north and passing the Avenger’s Mansion. Next, tear past the west side of the X-Mansion and into the underground hangar, where you’ll find the finish line.
Race: 7
Location: Marvel Comics H.Q.
Prerequisite: None
Starting on a balcony to the west of the Marvel Comics H.Q., take Hawkeye’s Skycycle for a spin around Stark Tower and past the Baxter Building before passing over Central Park. After whipping around the west side of Fisk Tower, be ready to fly low along the street through some underpasses until coming to an end near the Bifrost.
Race: 8
Location: Empire State Building
Prerequisite: None
Starting high above the city atop the Empire State Building, expect to achieve terminal velocity quickly as you dive toward the ground. The first several checkpoints are spaced out, so take advantage of the momentum until you rip past the Baxter Building and over Central Park. Keep low until you approach Fisk Tower, where the race will head north over the train tracks toward the finish.
Race: 9
Location: Daily Bugle
Prerequisite: None
From the roof of the Daily Bugle, this race takes you through the tight confines of Times Square rushing past Oscorp on your way west toward the Roxxon Power Station. After encircling Roxxon, you’ll head back into Times Square, passing by the Empire State Building before bringing the race to an end atop Grand Central Station.
Race: 10
Location: Financial District
Prerequisite: None
On the southern tip of LEGO Manhattan, this race begins atop a nondescript building. Heading east toward the Brooklyn Bridge, expect to head north through Little Italy as you pass the Queensboro Bridge, soaring over some high rises in the process. As you enter Yorkville, you’ll cut west and pass over Central Park before crossing the finish line wedged between two brick buildings on the Upper West Side.
