Somewhere in the dunes of Dhalkmekia, a chimera of a creature terrorizes caravans. Is this colossal beast fiction or fact? Let’s find out. Here’s how to find the Tricephalic Terror in Final Fantasy 16, and all the rewards you get for killing it.
Final Fantasy 16: Tricephalic Terror Hunt Location and Rewards (FF16)
Is it a scorpion? A dragon? A lion? Or perhaps all three? Those are the questions that surround the Tricephalic Terror, a creature that has made its home in the Velkroy desert. And, of course, it falls to Clive to hunt it down. Here’s how to find the Tricephalic Terror in Final Fantasy 16:
- Select Western Dhalkmekia on the world map (The Dalimil Inn).
- Go to the Velkroy Desert.
From the world map, go south from the Hideaway waypoint and select Western Dhalkmekia. It’s likely that the waypoint will be The Dalimil Inn, which is precisely where we’ll need to go.
Once you’ve loaded into town, head through the Northern Gate towards The Velkroy Desert. The Tricephalic Terror haunts the westernmost part of the map, almost in line with The Watcher Fallen ruins. You’ll likely see it long before you get close enough to trigger its cut scene – just look out for a large creature with dragon wings.
The Tricephalic Terror, actually called Gorgimera, will open up with Delta Attack. Run out of the large circle on the ground to avoid it. The combo that it really enjoys abusing is the Dragon Voice and Ram Voice. The Dragon Voice is an area-of-effect attack that forces you close to the Gorgimera. Immediately after it uses Dragon Voice, it will use Ram Voice, a fast attack that has an area of effect that immediately surrounds the Gorgimera. The only way to really avoid this combo is to get your dodge precisely right or stay in the very outer circle of the Dragon Voice attack.
