Hogwarts Legacy allows you to go on a magical journey to figure out the secrets of Ancient Magic while dealing with an oncoming Goblin Rebellion. Along the way, you’ll meet professors, students, and other characters who’ll help you dive deeper into the story. You can even befriend some of your classmates if you so wish. What about going further than friends, though, and romancing other characters? If you’re interested in learning more, continue reading to discover whether Hogwarts Legacy has romance.

Is There Romance in Hogwarts Legacy?

Hogwarts Legacy has various companions within each house that you can interact with and even complete side quests to strengthen your friendship. When thinking about the Harry Potter movies and romances that develop there, it’d make sense for Hogwarts Legacy to have the same. However, while you can befriend your classmates, you won’t be able to romance them.

The main reason for this is the student ages in the game. At Hogwarts, the student ages generally range between 11-15, with your fifth-year character being 15. While this is old enough to explore romance, there are limits, especially with younger students attending the school. Instead, you can befriend classmates and even do side quests with them by your side.

Despite your character being unable to engage in romantic relationships, this doesn’t apply to others. In particular, there are adult characters, such as your professors, who are married and will discuss this in conversations throughout the story. One example is Professor Fig, whose primary focus is to continue the research conducted by his late wife.

Hogwarts Legacy will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch through the official website.
