Just because 75 is not enough. Fear not you can increase the FOV and disable the intros. FOV is always a hot topic in PC games and with the release of Alien Isolation PC gamers are wondering about the FOV. As Tim pointed out in his PC port early impressions article, the game starts with […]
Let’s not beat around the bush: you’re interested in the Nemesis system. Without wishing to sound harsh, I can’t say I’m surprised; it really is the one unique and special thing that Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has going for it. This is the system that means the mini-bosses you’ll face throughout the game grow and […]
If you’ve read my reviews of the preceeding couple of installments in the Dark Souls 2 Lost Crowns DLC trilogy, you’ll know I’ve been impressed. Sunken King demonstrated a confidence in interconnected level design that rarely showed its head in the main game, while Old Iron King included two fantastic bosses and some neat expansions […]
Welcome to the third and final Dark Souls 2 Lost Crowns DLC guide, dealing with all matters pertaining to the Crown of the Ivory King, Eleum Loyce and invisible tigers. If you’ve read my previous pair of guides to the other entries in the Lost Crowns trilogy, you’ll be familiar with the format. Crown of […]
Before we get right into this FIFA 15 review, let me take you on a fanciful journey into the future. It’s June 2015 in LA and the EA E3 press event is underway. EA Sports’ David Rutter has appeared on stage and is about to unveil some new features in FIFA 16. But instead of […]
BioWare’s live stream of the Dragon Age: Inquisition character creation tool (plus bonus Deep Roads gameplay) has wrapped up, so here’s a run-down on what was shown. I tried to take as many images as possible, but the stream quality wasn’t always the best. I’ve no doubt it will be archived at BioWare’s Twitch channel […]
Right, let’s get the obvious disclaimer out of the way. If you know nothing about Naruto – if you don’t know your Rasengan from your Chidori and your Konohamaru from your Konohagakure, and if you think Akatsuki is something spicy you have with rice – then you will get almost no enjoyment out of Naruto […]
As part of the IncGamers FIFA 15 review process, I’ve had to dick around with various in-game and third party settings to obtain smooth 60fps gameplay. Since the review itself isn’t ready to go yet (I’ve only had code for about 24 hours,) and the game is coming out in Europe today, I thought I’d […]
Alright, I admit it, I’m really starting to look forward to Alien: Isolation – despite my better judgment. The latest trailer for the stealth-horror game is another short one, but unlike Hear You Scream, this one – titled Misdirection – is worth a watch. It doesn’t show off lots of gameplay or anything, but I’ll […]
Wasteland 2 is a big, in-depth game with a whole lot of skills, attributes, mechanics, options, and decisions. It’s the sort of thing that might well paralyse those who haven’t played things like Fallout, or the original Wasteland. Hardened RPG players will largely be fine, but those who’re coming to this sort of thing fairly […]
