Grand Theft Auto 6 is almost here. Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA 6 pre-loading will begin on November 10. Meaning you will have more than a week to download and prepare for the launch on November 19.

According to Rockstar’s announcement, PlayStation 5 players can begin pre-loading GTA 6 at midnight on November 10 in their respective local time zones. Xbox Series X|S players will get access at 12 AM GMT on the same day.

Rockstar has also advised players to make sure they have enough free storage space to begin downloading the game as soon as pre-loading becomes available. That’s because the size of the game is announced to be close to 212GB, with variability depending on the platform.

The announcement should give players plenty of time to download the game before its November 19 release. With a download this large, those with slower internet connections will particularly benefit from getting started early. Rockstar will also upload printable cover art and a map of Leonida as a free download on November 19.

What About The Physical Copies Of GTA 6?

In case you missed the news, the GTA 6 physical copies will not have a game disc. Instead, they will include a digital download code you can enter to add the game to your library. More importantly, these physical copies, or Code-in-Box versions as Rockstar calls them, will be available at retailers on November 12. This means physical buyers will still need to download the entire game through their respective platform’s storefront.

GTA 6 is currently scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Standard Edition costs $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99.

With less than two weeks remaining before launch, players can start preparing their consoles and clearing out storage to make room for Rockstar’s next open-world adventure.
