What Is the Rarest Sprite in Fortnite?
Find out which Sprite is the rarest in Fortnite, how to get it
Fortnite regularly introduces new Sprites, each with a unique ability that can give you an advantage during a match. However, some are harder to find than others, making them particularly desirable for players looking to complete their collection.
If you’re wondering which Sprite is the rarest in Fortnite, the answer depends on the current season. Here’s which ones currently have the highest rarity, how to find them, and what makes them special.
What Is the Rarest Sprite in Fortnite?
Sweet Dreams and Plundarrgh are currently the rarest Sprites in Fortnite, as both have Mythic rarity. They’re part of the Treasure Hunters mini-season, which launched on November 1, 2026.
Both Sprites have unique abilities:
- Sweet Dreams: Gives you a random item whenever it levels up, eventually rewarding you with Mythic loot at its maximum level.
- Plundarrgh: Increases your pickaxe and movement speed whenever you open a chest.
These are currently the only two Mythic Sprites in the Treasure Hunters collection. However, Epic Games hasn’t published their individual spawn rates, so there’s no way to determine which one is harder to find.
All Sprite Rarities in Fortnite
Fortnite’s current Treasure Hunters mini-season has four Sprite rarity tiers. Here’s how the available Sprites are distributed:
| Rarity | Sprites |
| Rare | Halfpeel’d, Re-Pete, Barry O’Fish, Wayfinder |
| Epic | Chester, Kelper, Exmarks, Lil’ Squibbly |
| Legendary | Lil’ Flacko, Transponder Snail |
| Mythic | Sweet Dreams, Plundarrgh |
The rarity displayed in-game indicates a Sprite’s tier, but it doesn’t tell you its exact spawn chance. Epic hasn’t released official drop rates for the current collection.
How to Find Rare Sprites in Fortnite
The easiest way to find Sprites is to search for Sprite Chests. These guarantee a Sprite when opened, although the one you receive is random.
You can also find Sprite Treasure Maps by tearing down Wanted Posters around the island. Follow the map to locate a buried Sprite Chest, dig it up, and claim your reward.
Regular chests can also contain Sprites, but they aren’t guaranteed. You can even collect Sprites dropped by eliminated players who were carrying one.
If you’re looking for Fortune Sprites, keep an eye out for red Ruby Sprite Chests. These guarantee a random Fortune variant, which provides an additional ability that reveals nearby chests.
Are Old Sprites Still Available in Fortnite?
Not all Sprites remain available in Battle Royale after a seasonal update. When Epic introduces a new collection, it can vault the previous season’s Sprites and replace them with a new roster.
For example, the Klombo Sprite was considered the rarest during the previous Override season. However, it isn’t currently available in the Treasure Hunters mini-season.
You can still keep previously collected Sprites in your Sprite Garden, but that doesn’t mean you can find them in regular matches.
