When I was younger, Twilight Princess was one of my favorite Zelda games. After playing through The Wind Waker and loving it, the dark and brooding tones of Twilight Princess were exactly what my emo soul needed back in the day. Now that I’ve gotten older, it’s still a fun game to play through, especially because of its villains. Zant remains a personal favorite to this day, so the chance to don his helmet got me giddy, so I set out into the Depths in search of this wonderful piece of armor. Let’s jump down together and find out where it is, shall we? Here’s how to get Zant’s Helmet in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Get Zant’s Helmet In Tears Of The Kingdom
Much like the Korok Mask, the Zant Helmet will be found in The Depths in a Coliseum, and this time around it’s the Scorching Coliseum (2185, 3191, -0791). Launch from the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower (3493, 2019, 0188) and make your way to the Chasm at the top of Death Mountain (2496, 2615, 0837). If you’ve already completed the Goron Fire Temple quest, then you’ve made it here before. Make sure to bring the Flamebreaker Gear with you if you haven’t gotten it already.
Once inside, we recommend finding and activating the following Lightroots to make the journey ahead easier:
- Mustis Lightroot (2368, 2596, -0948)
- Misisi Lightroot (1842, 2843, -0838)
- Katijabis Lightroot (2400, 3276, -0844)

Once you see the skeletal remains of a large snake/dragon, you know you’re on the right path. You’ll also see that there is a Zonai Building Station to the right of this location, where you will want to go and fuse a rocket to your shield. It makes entering the Coliseum a much easier task so you don’t need to climb up the wall in front of you, or enter from the left side of the building.

Once you have reached the top of the Coliseum, you’ll see a Treasure Chest glowing with Gloom below. Jump into the arena and get ready to take on a few sets of Gloom-Boosted Moblins of varying difficulty. Be sure to prep some food with a Zonai Pot before jumping into this battle.
You’ll need to fight through five different waves:
- 2 Red Mobilns
- 2 Blue Moblins
- 2 Black Moblins
- 1 Silver Moblin
- 1 Red, 1 Blue, 1 Black, 1 Silver at the same time
Once you defeat all of these Moblins, the Gloom will disappear from around the treasure chest, and you’ll be able to pop it open by pressing the A button in front of it.
The Zant Helmet offers a great boost for those looking to explore the colder regions of the world: you cannot be frozen while wearing it. This makes battling Ice Boosted creatures easier than ever, now that you can’t get frozen in place by them. It’s a very aesthetic helmet, as well, so be ready to go on some new adventures with your newly obtained armor!
